Boinctasks is highlighting its taskbar button in orange for no reason. Not sure why it wants attention, nothing in particular has happened, but often the taskbar is lit in orange, like an app does when it needs my attention.
Have you set-up any rule and it has triggered?
No, the rules are empty.
As in one of the lines in the Tasks tab or something else.
Not sure what you're asking.
Do you have a screenshot, tells more than words.
But I guess you mean the Task button/selector.
There is nothing that BoincTasks does to change the color, so it must be something Windows does or the monitor.
The Boinctasks one goes bright orange, as others do to attract my attention when action is required. But I don't know what Boinctasks is asking for.
Now I understand.
I've seen it happen in other apps for no apparent reason.
My guess a notice maybe.
In general, clicking on the button removes the highlight.
It seems to have calmed down. Maybe I was annoying Boinc at the time by changing a lot of settings. Then I get stupid notices about unknown apps just because that particular machine hasn't seen that particular one.
I've currently got a machine saying it will take 99 days to complete a task I know will be done in 8 days. Hence panic mode and shut off all other projects. ARGH!
Yep, notices are a likely suspect and alerts end up in notices.
You could try BoincTasks Settings -> Notices -> remove the check at Show Alert every.
Thanks, I'll try that. Maybe it was the same one reminding me every half hour.
