Fred,
I had to abort a task earlier today and I noticed that when the running task on the same machine was suspended due to CPU usage limits, the aborted task inidcated that in addition to being an aborted task, it also read as a suspended one.

In a normally running task in the status column I typically have either "Running" or "Running, suspended:cpu usage limit", depending on the actual state of processing.  In the aborted task it switched back an forth between "Aborted" and "Aborted, suspended:cpu usage limit".  I don't get this same switching when I have completed tasks that are waiting to be reported.

I don't think it is really a problem, more of an observation, as it doesn't effect the processing or monitoring of my workstations.

Fred,
Does this mean I can stop loading the Boinc Manager on startup for all my machines, and use Boinc Tasks to control the core client?

Beta Testing / Password Encryption Error
November 03, 2009, 08:56:26 PM
I have 3 machines I run BOINC on, 2 desktops (1 XP Pro-32 bit, 1 XP Home-32 bit) and 1 laptop (Vista - 64 bit).  Everytime I restart BoincTasks (say after a reboot of the system) I have to re-enter the password for the laptop. Here's the error from the log:

03 November 2009 - 15:24:57 computers ---- Name: laptop, IP: laptop
encrypt/decrypt error, before: bd01d44a546b0230f443ed6bbb1ea724 after: ÚÀ·™´¡Ï...<{>3

Despite the error, BT still connects to all 3 machines, it is only if I exit out of BT and re-start it, that I have to re-enter the password.

I am presently running BT v0.25, but this problem has existed since I started running BT @ v0.21.

Is it possible that the error is caused because the machine I run BoincTasks on runs XP Pro, and the laptop Vista, since I don't get this problem with the connection to the other XP machine?

Wish List / Re: Windows Explorer crash

I get this on occasion too...I know that when certain icons don't reappear after a restart of explorer, it is time to restart the machine.  (I'm sure that running several alpha/beta Boinc projects has nothing to do with this  ;) ::) )

Fred,
Thanks for posting about the color changes not staying from 0.24 to 0.25.  If I hadn't read the forum before I installed the new version, I might have said the same about the colors.

So far, everything looks good.

Wish List / Forum Link under Help Menu

Fred,
Just as a thought, would it be possible, in some future release, to add a link to the BoincTasks forums off the help menu, or perhaps in the "About BoincTasks" section near where you have the "If you have problems e-mail..."
