Hi,
I'm using rules to identify dead VMs that BOINC-Client still thinks they are running good.
I have set up the rules to check the runtime of the WUs and the CPU-Usage
If the runtimes goes for example about 4 hours (machine depending) and the CPU-Usage is beyond 90% then I get a notification-mail.
The Client is configured to pause all tasks when Backup-Software is active in the night.
Now I get false-notifications in the night, when Backup-Software is running, because CPU-Usage goes down to zero during backup.
Is there a way to check if the status of the WU is paused or better running ? So far I only found check for error / Uploading / Ready / Aborted.

Not much difference between a stalled or one put in the background because another exe got priority.
The only thing that might work is put in a time, that way the tasks must be dormant for some time to trigger.
