Questions / Wallclock Time
March 12, 2021, 04:13:47 PM
I'm having problems setting wallclock-time

In Rule-Editor, I can select Wallclock-Time and get a table with green points

If I click on these green points, an editor-windows opens where I can set or change the points to red / green. This box doesn't have any okay- or cancel-button, only the X in the right corner .

If I set times from 06:00 to 24:00 sometimes they seem to get saved (I can see them when I open the editor-window again, but sometimes my settings are totally ignored.

If I finish Rule-Editor by clicking okay, then re-open it, all Wallclock-Times are gone

Questions / Rule to check Status running
February 01, 2021, 04:43:11 PM
Hi,

I'm using rules to identify dead VMs that BOINC-Client still thinks they are running good.

I have set up the rules to check the runtime of the WUs and the CPU-Usage

If the runtimes goes for example about 4 hours (machine depending) and the CPU-Usage is beyond 90% then I get a notification-mail.

The Client is configured to pause all tasks when Backup-Software is active in the night.

Now I get false-notifications in the night, when Backup-Software is running, because CPU-Usage goes down to zero during backup.

Is there a way to check if the status of the WU is paused or better running ? So far I only found check for error / Uploading / Ready / Aborted.

Questions / Computername within Rules
December 09, 2020, 01:17:15 PM
Hi,

I'm using the rules to get a notification when something seems to be wrong with my tasks.

The Rule is independent from the computers (I use 8 computers) but when I run a batch, I would like to give the name of the computer as parameter to the batch.

Batch-calling can handover a parameter, but what would be the correkt value for the Computer(name) ?

x:\Batch.bat, Computer ? ? ? ? ?

Wish List / Please add Status Postponed
January 07, 2019, 07:34:34 PM
Hi,

I'm running a lot of LHC-Tasks. Sometimes a task gets "postponed: xxxxxxxx".

BOINCTasks only shows "waiting to run". So I sit there and have no idea why the task doesn't start. When I log on the client I see postponed .....

It would be very helpful, if BOINCTasks could show this status also.

Thanks in Advance

Wish List / Connect to a VM
August 12, 2015, 04:02:36 PM
As Projects run more and more VMs I would like to open a RemoteDeskTopConnection to a marked VM.

I just tried it on my Network (Open RemoteDesktopClient, entered the ComputerName:Port ) and it opened the Connection as if I where directly on the remote machine.

The needed Port is in Slot-Directory File vbox_remote_desktop.xml

Beta testing problems / Win 7
September 28, 2009, 12:59:16 PM
I'm running Windows 7 (Final, no Beta or RC) 32Bit and TThrotle 1.68

It seems, as if TThrottle can only work right if it is started with Admin-privileges

I had started it "normal", my configurations was to keep CPU below 76° but CPU-Temp was really 79°. TThrottle showed in taskbar that it would slow down my processor / my BOINC-Tasks to 5%, but it was not succesfull doing this. All BOINC_Tasks were running by 100%

Yesterday I installed 1.60 over my old 1.56er Version. All seemed fine.

Now I just had set my boinc to suspend and was wondering, why there is one core running with 99%. I found throttle was it.

I waited several minutes if it would "calm down", but no way, it stayed at 99% of one core.

I exited Throttle, started it again and now all is normal.

So, if this happens again, what do you want me to do / to check / ...   ?

Questions / Quad-Prozessor, which core is used
March 25, 2009, 04:45:23 PM
I'm running TThrottle 1.54

I'm using an Intel Quad-Processor and in the tab "temperatur" I can see all 4 cores.

Each core has a different temperature and I think, this is normal.

On the first tab (Porgrams) I can set the max core-temp that I want.

Now my question: How is the core for this choosen ? At the moment, it shows the temperatur of core 2 which is not the hottest core. The core with the hottest temperatur is core 0. Can I do something, that core 0 is watched (or automaticly the core with the highest temperatur ?)
