Sorting by column header in the tasks tab does not seem to work properly.  Sometimes it rearranges the rows, sometimes not, but even when it does rearrange the rows, it still does not look sorted.

something similar happens to me too, as I reported by email.

I will take another look and see if I can find something.

I have a couple of projects that refuse to complete initialization (BOINC core problem).  So they have no project name.  BOINC Tasks shows the name as blank.  It would be useful if in this case the project name showed as the URL instead of blank.

That's because BOINC isn't reporting any names. But I put it on the list to check.
If you know of any projects that do this consistently for testing.

Allow network usage should be a 3 state.  Unchecked would be no, gray would be by preferences, and black would be always.

Allow CPU usage would be a useful feature to add (same states as above).

Both are on the list.

-(FIXED) Transfer view, sometimes the % exceeded 100%.

-(FIXED) Project view code 5 = initializing, 7 = in progress.
-(FIXED) Task view: Sorting is sometimes done on a 3th column even as this column is not selected. Removed hidden sorting columns. Reintroduced the | indicator for now. The computer column may need the | set to disable sorting.
-(FIXED) Task view: Multicore project tasks displayed a CPU % of more than 100%. Now CPU% = CPU% / CPU cores. Maxed at 100%.
-(FIXED) Task view: Sometimes with progress below 1% the progress was not shown properly. Now the alternative way is only used when the progress % is below 0.01%. This is only uses in the first phase of GPU Tasks.

still I got the fix about sorting, I use only sorting with two columns, but every time I run BT "Tasks" and "Transfers" tab are sorted by means of three columns. ??

Which of the 3 columns are sorted?
What column is sorted incorrectly?

Give me the following info.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER software efmer Boinctasks sorting and give me the numbers for:
tasks_p tasks_s tasks_t (the 3 sorting columns)

I want sorting only by two columns, not by three.
tasks_p 517
tasks_s 267
tasks_t 521

I should be able to solve this in the next version.
I've done some extensive hiking over huge boulders, so not today.

I will attach to the Aqua project and will do some additional testing.
The bar should not go beyond 100% otherwise the bar gets out of range.
Should be simple to solve for the next release.

Later at 29 hours, the progress is finally "non-zero" at 32.379%. I can't tell whether it has always been below 1% or has ben jumping high and low.

Yes, definitely jumpin' around. At 30:17:13 and 33.372%, Boinc Tasks is again showing 0.769% ... 0.770% ... 0.805% ... 0.822 slowly rising, but got suspended for now.
Interestingly, at the same time the mini preview gadget window is displaying the progress% correctly.

Few hours later, few seconds prior to upgrade to BT 0.42, the Progress rising towards 1.0%, just after the upgrade the 0.42 is showing 38.901%. But it also could just have been one of these jumps...

Added to the bug list: Don't use alternative progress % when the default % is above 0%.

Unfortunately I do not understand the issue never mind. (Or, is it for cases when/while the application does not report any % progress at all?)
Since the upgrade to 0.42, I've never noticed a progress under 1% - it was continuously moving through 40-50-60-70%.

I removed the bug report, when you notice it again let me know.

For Pirates@Home, Boinc Manager shows in the Project tab: "Scheduler request pending, Requested by project, Scheduler request in progress", whereas Boinc Tasks (sorry, it was the 0.41) was displaying a non-explanatory "sRPCp 7".

-(CHANGED) Filter, use the project as well, to separate tasks from SETI and SETI Beta.

-(CHANGED) History, moved some memory from main to stack, to fight crashes on some computers with a large (+5000)  history. A history above 1000 is not recommended.

I may have found the issue. Its the number of history logs.

I enabled history with fresh history logs and its working. Placing back the old logs whc has about 7000 entries for each machine (total of 7), it crash with the same eventid (1000). The logs has about 3.x weeks of data.

Is there a limit on history?

There should not be any limit, but 1000 is a nice limit.
Beyond that it will take more and more of your computer time as every 10 seconds all x thousand entries have to be compared.

I made some adjustments that may or may not help. I moved the dynamic buffer from main memory to stack memory. Sometimes the memory is limited even as it shouldn't be.
Let's see if that does anything, I expect a new release soon.
