1 is it possible to sort always all WU by the deadline and after like is now by the % of work done??
2 is it possible to include in the task window one column with the fraction of CPU/GPU used for every WU running??
  I say this because if some % CPU/GPU is below some level (user definable) that it changes to another color, on that way you could know that there is something wrong with the process (for the color could be "running at low CPU/GPU speed" or something similar, this use to happens when one application hung or is started / restarted).
3 could be included in the CUDA processing the CAL processing too and shown in the same way??
4 in the combined computer wiew, could be included one lateral windows with the computer, on that way if you want to see one in particular, just click on it and you'll show the work for this computer, or click more than one or all together, something like a tree with: all computer, comp1, comp2,...., compn.
5 sorting in the other tabs like projects (by credits or projetc, etc.)
6 another tab with more information about computers, Boinc version, CPU, GPU, OS, next benchmarks and cpu/gpu capabilities in the benchmark, IP, etc.
7 another tab with recorded finished tabs, with WU name, application & version, time used, and record this to a file (.csv, .txt, etc.) saved in a user definable folder (option in BoincView).

well as you see always asking  , nice weekend.

1) It is possible to sort WU by 2 rows like deadline and % at the same time.
2) Have to check. I haven't seen anything like this for a long long time.
3) Cal should show up as Cuda and I could rename that to GPU.
4) Ok is in the wish list a dockable window with the computers.
5) Sorting in all the other locations like Projects an Transfers is in the wish list
6) All this info is in the message window.
7) In the wish list.
And a lot more

would be possible?? as now BOINC 6.10 (win x86 & x64) looks like that supports it (as beta) ??

Why doesn't it work?
I don't know how the CAL files will be marked. For now CUDA is marked as cuda, like _6.08_cuda...exe.
So simply add the id to the BOINC tab (2e tab) / add GPU. At the moment this holds only cuda but adding another one is no problem.
Be sure this ID is unique otherwise you get into problems.
This should work without any changes.

I've donwloaded and installed BOINC-TG, and read the setup instructions, some FAQ before starting:

- SETI User ID: which one the short one, the CPID, I insert it the short one and could not get any info, I mean I insert the ID and Computer -- Add from Internet, but don't get any computer.
- I could attach manually hosts, I've this computer in the remote_hosts.cfg of every host.
- I've setup the host with the gui_rpc_auth.cfg password of every computer, and the work is seen, but if I Load from internet I got an empty windows with its colummns but no data.

I know that it's a beta program, and much to be polished has to be done, but Why I didin't get any info when attaching with the Seti ID, or really what is the ID that I have to insert.

there has to be done anything with the Windows Firewall??

You get this page by pressing "your computers"
But at the moment, I think for a week or so Seti shut down the database access, to conserve bandwidth.
So this feature relies on this database and ..... is not working at the moment.

In version 0.0.3 this will be the Account key, that should work better. BoincTasks now logs into the account using this key.
The key to use is the FULL access key.
The key is stored but not shown and is encrypted. Because this key gives you full access to your Seti account. This makes my security a bit more tight than on the Seti side.
Stored in C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\eFMer\BoincTasks hard to think this is indeed the default location in Vista.
One holds the settings and another the computers.

Over the duration of an hour to an hour and a half, TThrottle requires around 10-15 minutes of CPU time. Keep in mind that the system temperature has not gotten high enough for TThrottle to take action.

I have it set to monitor BOINC along with Folding@Home. I am on an x64 Vista laptop, and I have set the GPU throttle to Laptop. Aside from that, everything is normal. It had not always consumed this much CPU before. Is there some way I can lower the amount of CPU used by TThrottle? I have just sent in a log email, and I can copy and paste the log window on here.

By 10-15 you mean % of minutes? And how do you measure this.
When the temperature is below the set temperature, the use CPU in the programs tab should be at 100%.
In that case TThrottle is essentially idle, doing almost nothing.
In the taskmanager this should be around 0% and sometimes 1% for a very short time.
When I use TThrottle on my computers 1% is the most I see when Active.
The GPU throttle is also on 100%? Because I see no GPU tasks running...

Another thing I see is that you have a lot of programs 24 active in memory. Most of them are probably doing nothing but they take extra CPU time when the throttle is active. You may want to remove the BOINC check keep in memory.
Are you sure you don't have the throttle activated in Rules, because that takes some more CPU time. But that is for short emergency use only.

When you have a couple of 100 WU to check the Web Browser is probably a good way to do it.
But if you have a couple of 1000 WU, on several computers, it becomes an almost impossible task.

That's why I made BOINC-tasks, to get a feeling of what is going on ... again.

The program collects all the data and stores it locally.

This program is for SETI (main) only at the moment, but could be easily adapted to other projects.

That's the one I downloaded. But there was another GPU Card in the system from NVidia, I don't know if that works.

Add AMD/ATI graphic card support.
I have a card but for now I don't get it working, will try another machine.
Did that, had   as complete system crash, downloaded the latest version same problem. Looks as if a 32 bit driver is installed on a 64 bit system.
In a couple of days I try another computer...

Some providers block port 25. If they do you get the message TLS not supported by the POP3 server, use 587 instead.

If you still have problems, send me the log that you can find here:

If you still run into problems you can enable email logging:

In the folder C:\Program Files\eFMer\TThrottle you find tthrottle.xml, if it isn't there copy it from \examples

Somewhere you will find

<email> may not be there, it that case add <email>1</email> as shown above.
otherwise change 0 into 1.

1 sets logging of the email process.

Editing the file may be impossible, if so start notepad as administrator, or copy the file to another location, change it, and copy it back.

After the changes are stored, restart TThrottle

Try the email again, now you should see exactly what is send to sendemail.exe.

This tthrottle.xml file, is basically a text file, and  can be edited by a text editor. It is read only once at TThrottle startup.
It must reside in the same directory as the TThrottle.exe.
An example is placed in the examples directory.

The way the Icon is shown can be set.

Display the icon in the taskbar as percentage only and stay that way.

Safe all your work before using this version.

In the tab general throttle, (name doesn't fit anymore, suggestions)

The rules go into the rules line (Top) and become active when you press Add.
Warning they become active at once....
The check Enable General Throttle does.... NOTHING.
The exclude does... NOTHING.


Does a emergency shutdown so be careful it shuts down quickly without saving anything.
if cpu temperature > 70 shutdown

This engages the full general throttle at this temperature all processed are throttled
if cpu temperature > 64 throttle
The set temperature is still the temperature that will be regulated. But when the General Throttle engages all programs will be throttled.

if cpu temperature > 68 email  
This sends an email.

Fixed problems:
The throttle did not go low enough but to 25% instead of 5%.
The threads lost is gone, instead the rebuild time is 1/2 when threads are lost. But these frequent warnings are gone.

Added:
The update version check is now done in a better way.

Sometimes TThrottle detects more cores than there actually are.

The Intel I7 processor reports 8 cores (when HT is active) but it has "only" 4 cores. The other reported cores are Hyperthreads (2 in core).
As there are only 4 temperature sensors, only 4 are reported in the graph. [0,1] [2,3] [4,5]  [6,7).
