Title: IPv4 vs IPv6 address visability.
Post by: yoro42 on December 12, 2014, 06:31:02 PM
A computer that has a status of "Not connected"  I am not able to successfully  Ping using its IPv4 address. However, if I can Ping using its "Name" but the reply show the IPv6 address. I suspect some kind of "Network /Authority / Firewall" issue and have been working along those lines to no avail.  Does BT support IPv6 addressing? From what I've read it does not (yet? Add to Wish List?).

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you,

IPv6 should work, but I put it on my to test more list.
You can use the name in BoincTasks as well.
Try this on Windows: http://efmer.com/b/boinctasks_manual_net (http://efmer.com/b/boinctasks_manual_net)
