Title: Set-up 2 computers with same settings??
Post by: Corsair on April 13, 2010, 08:22:23 AM
Hi all,

is there any way of setup 2 computers with same settings?? except with patient, pen, paper and copying everything.

something like using "Regedit" and copying part of one key, etc. saving this to file ".reg" and applying to other computer??

this involves going across one computer in x32 and the desired clone in x64. ;)

Export and Import of the BoincTask key should work. But if this works from 32 to 64 ;D

Hi Fred,

set-up BT 0.50 in both computers and

went in laptop with regedit to "Mi PC\HKEY_CURRENT\Software\eFMer\BoincTasks" exported to a file the
whole key and saved.

in the computer with x64 set-up BT 0.50 and before starting the program combined the info of the last
saved "BT.reg" file, introduced the info into the registry, by clicking twice on "BT.reg".

now I have both computers with same settings and across x86 --> x64
