What does boinctasks do with "notices" now that boinc 6.11.4 has been released and the message tab has been deleted from boinc, and a new menu item has been added "event log" under the advanced tab? Are we going to be able to see them both from our remote computers?

Of course it has to be implemented.
But do you want to get rid of the Messages tab.
Add another notices tab?

My vote goes to adding one more tab.
I vote for another tab for notices and let the message tab be the event log.
I would like there to be another tab please
Thanks
Tim

I'll go with idahofisherman on this one.
BTW I'm testing 6.11.4 on one of my (64 bit) hosts. No problem with the 6.11.4 Manager logging onto a remote 6.10.58 client and displaying its Messages stream in the Event Log. And
vice versa. Also BT 0.66 appears to be logging onto both clients without problem. Three cheers for backward compatibility :)

Once there is a release version I will implement it, shouldn't be too hard.
