Title: TThrottle start at boot on Windows 10
Post by: syncswim on October 29, 2016, 03:59:33 PM
I've used TThrottle for some time on this computer, but some time ago it stopped loading at boot. I'm not sure if this happened when Windows upgraded itself to 10, but today I've been trying to fix this problem.

I followed the instruction in the manual (ie starting the program once as administrator and selecting the option to start at login), but it never works. The option is set when I manually start TThrottle, but it never starts automatically. I should mention that this Windows install boots without a password, and I have plenty of other programs (eg synctrayzor) that autostart just fine.

Unfortunately, until this is fixed I can't use BOINC as I'm not willing to allow the strain on my graphics card.

Any advice would be great :)

Hmmm..

Seems I finally forced it to start with something like this:

http://tunecomp.net/add-app-to-startup/ (http://tunecomp.net/add-app-to-startup/)

But you guys should be aware that the run at login option doesn't always work on Win10

In TThrottle go to Preference.
Remove the check at "Run TThrottle as login"
It most likely restarts as administrator.
Next set the check ar "Run TThrottle as login"

Just tested it with W10 64.
