Title: Merge with BOINC
Post by: adamradocz on August 08, 2018, 12:41:04 PM
Hi,

I like your BOINC Tasks application, it has a lot of cool features that the BOINC Manager lack of. I'd like to contribute in terms of development, but your code is not accessible for the public.
Would you consider merging your BOINC Tasks project with the BOINC so the community could help the development.

BOINC is not specific Windows, while BoincTasks is a typical Windows program that is some cases runs on Linux.
I'm still thinking about opening up the code, but for now I'm hesitant to do so.
Over time, when my interest shift more and more I might make the project public.

There's an issue about moving the Boinc Manager to .net platform and make it cross-platform with .net core and .net standard, and your code would be a great starting point for that. https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/issues/1875 (https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/issues/1875)

I looked at .net when I started and don't use it.
Don't really like it that much as it relies on libraries that can change at any moment and do.
