Title: Computer Names on Project
Post by: Dingo on December 15, 2019, 11:43:05 PM
I think there is a problem with the computer name on BOINC.  I have created 10 BOINC instances on a machine BUNDY-2, BUNDY-2-2, BUNDY-2-3  etc etc

They are listed as BUNDY-2 in the list of Computers.

I created the Computer entries using BoincTasks so it is either that software or BOINC server ??

BoincTasks shows them as the name BUNDY-2-3 etc

In BoincTasks the name is fixed (not read) and linked to the computer by its IP or MAC address.
If your network has a dynamic IP, the computer names in BoincTasks might and probably will not be assigned to the right computer.

You could assign a fixed IP on your computer or in the Router.
Another way is to add the MAC address and omit the IP address.
