Title: Windows 10 ARM64 version?
Post by: Corsair on November 14, 2020, 03:00:46 PM
Hi Fred,

should be possible one version compiled natively for windows 10 ARM64 version??
for both programs.

it should be nice to control the temperature in the Surface Pro X with snapdragon SQ1 and now SQ2.

also I didn't found a BOINC version for windows 10ARM64 and had to run in x86 emulation.

I need an Windows arm emulator for a Windows X64 machine.
But I expect it's Win 10 in name only and not really compatible.

Could be useful to do a virtual machine over x64? :

Moving to Arm involves a complete rewrite..... You have to stick to the emulator...

I'm working on an universal BoincTasks version that should run on any desktop. Windows, Linux, Mac on any processor. X32 X64 Arm.

I have something to test.

Lets see if this runs http://efmer.eu/download/boinc/boinc_tasks_js/boinctasksjs-win32-arm64.zip (http://efmer.eu/download/boinc/boinc_tasks_js/boinctasksjs-win32-arm64.zip)
Unpack and run boinctasksjs.exe.

It should be arm64 but I'm unable to test it.

Now I'm on board with limited access.

I've been able to download it, and I have with me the W10ARM64 tablet, so when we'll sail from Las Palmas to Trinidad, I'll try to test it and I'll let you know.

An Arm version is now part of the installation package found on the download page (https://efmer.com/boinctasks-js/boinctasks-js-download/).
