Post by: fred on March 06, 2011, 09:01:57 PM
Added: Debug logging of the number of threads used for the CPU regulator.
Changed: The number of threads used for the CPU regulator is now: Cores/2.
Fixed: Some debug text was missing from the logging.
Fixed: The regulator was leaking handles, with some projects.

Enable debug in the logging dialog and look for: Regulator threads used for the CPU:
Give me the value.

I think that TTh 3.30 is back to the good old normal :)
I now trow away any threads that are below 1 Second runtime. That eliminates a lot of threads that are doing nothing at all = less overhead.
The only thing was that I forgot the trow away the handle. ;D

I wanted to look around for any new, untranslated strings. TTh 3.30 was running nearly 3 days long. I've opened the About dialog, the main window - Programs tab, clicked on the Program list button, Details checkbox, again the button and TTh locked up and crashed - minidump uploaded to SK download section.

Reproducibly - Details + Program list.

[edit] ;D And it left most of my AQUA task's threads in Wait:Suspended state. And I was wondering ??? why is the task suddenly silent, although BM and BT both claimed it was running...[/edit]

I hope none will invent a task, which will launch and delete a lots of very short-lived threads ;D

Should be fixed with V 3.31, a single core only issue.
