Title: Testing Version 3.50
Post by: fred on April 09, 2011, 06:41:54 PM
Add: Read the TJunction temperature directly from the CPU when possible.

Warning this may crash the system on older CPU's, I don't think so but there is a chance.

Please send met the log, so I get some more data on the TJunction / CPU.

ERROR: There is a version mismatch between (Version found: 3.50) TThrottle.exe and (Version found: 3.42) TThrottle_XXX.dll

Try installing TThrottle again.

OK

An uninstall seems to be necessary prior to downgrade? Otherwise the same error message appears again, even with 3.41 installed.

Note: I've been upgrading directly from 3.41, I've never downloaded 3.42. (And, will there be any torrents also for TTh to seed?)

3.501 is available, it fixes the problem with the sky dll.
The DLL should have version 3.5.0.1
The compiler refused to store the resource file, somehow... :o

TTh 3.501 seemed to have automatically recognized my Mobile Core i5's 105°C Tjunction (http://www.efmer.eu/forum_tt/Themes/default/images/post/thumbup.gif)

(Let's see tomorrow with i3's 90°C... The problem was always, according to the Intel docs, there were two packaging types of both procs with different Tj, and how to look at the package when it is buried somewhere deep in the notebook??
In both cases, from the two possible values, I was betting on similar CPU+GPU temperature (most probably sharing the same cooler) when the machine was idle.)
