Title: Excludying programs from the autoactive mode
Post by: lnminente on August 14, 2012, 08:07:23 PM
Hi all, great software here!

I'm in the need of excluding MusicBee.exe which is my media player, and when i have enabled autoactive mode the music gets a lot of micropauses which makes it inaudible. Because of that i have to take care of every other software which could be using my cpu and adding it to the list of processes.
Would be a lot easier if i could enable autoactive mode and add a list of programs to be excluded

Many thanks in advance!

1) Do you use this with BOINC or without BOINC?

Without BOINC, i don't use seti programs or similars but use many different small programs that do an intensive use of cpu for analyzing the sound of mp3 files, processing images, using different browsers, etc.

Want to keep my computer colder in summer and this software really helps, but i have to add many programs to the list when i only want to exclude my music and video players. Some programs i had to add to the inclusion list are chrome, easy CD-DA extractor, Firefox, mp3gain, plugin-container, spek, autopano, bpm mixmeister analyzer, etc

TIA!

The heat is coming to my city and the need is here again with it. I have limited the cpu temp to 64ÂșC and have the autoactive mode enabled, i would like it to automatically limit all processes except the ones from a whitelist to be able to listen the music and watching videos without interruptions.

The use of "*" would be welcomed, as for Firefox the flash for watching video use to be regularly updated changing its name to show its version. Now his name is FlashPlayerPlugin_11_7_700_169.exe

Please if it isn't requires much work think in implementing it. I truly think it would be very welcomed.

Thanks in advance!
