I want it to start like it did before, when I start the computer.  I am the only one on this computer.  all the people have the same rights.

Little bit of help on how to make me the admin pls or to at least log in as admin each time pls.  LOL

Just checked, I AM admin

I started both but same problem...with this problem it will not start at start up :((

solved the problem by turning off admin.  still won't start on start up.

I installed BoincTasks as admin like I was suppose to but ever time I try to run it a security block comes up asking if I want to allow it to run.  even went to the exe and changed them there with no luck.  I am running windows ultimate 64.

Yes I set it to start on computer start up.

Hi all so I got two more computers up and running Wattos linux and have the linux boinc that I got from synaptic Package Manager.

Since I don't like changing the monitor, keyboard and mouse around I thought I would get them connected to BS right quick.

I went in and put my ip  into remote_host.cfg

and then put a password in gui_rpc_auth.cfg there was nothing in there to start with.

Then I restarted the computer and the boinc-client said disconnected in the bottom right until I undid the change.

It is happening on both computers.

Any help would be great and thanks in advance,

Dave

Good Morning and thanks for the quick response ;D

I did everything in the manual page and in the page you sent me too .

I then did a ping from remote and found that it heard both ip  the .1 and .3

I wasted another 2 hours putting around and started writing this letter and then remembered that the remote  heard both the IPv4 addy and the   default gate way and decided to try the IPv4 addy..... and even without a reboot...

I am now hearing the other computer and remotly working it HELL YA!!!!!!!! :o ;D :D

AWSOME LITTLE PROGRAM here and thanks for saving me the money:)

Dave

((Problem Solved))

So in theroy I should be able to do this for my amazon and bitnami compute clouds yes?

lol

on another day when it isn't as humid.  LOL

Thanks again

ok so here how the story goes...

I got a new to me Machine and now have two machines to Boinc with :D

But the only way I can get the info on the other machine is by hand, or by remoting in with Google's Remote desktop.  :(

So  I came here and got BOINC Tasks and read the instructions here:

http://www.efmer.eu/forum_tt/index.php?topic=856.0

did everything it said and still no go:(

Then searched around the site and found this:

http://www.efmer.eu/forum_tt/index.php?topic=938.0

The ping worked great put the log file where it was suppose to be and still nada.

Even tried Corsair's approach in the same thread.

This is what I am getting out of the log.

Even tried changing the password in the file to something super simple just to make sure that wasn't t he problem.  :D

I will pay someone to come in by GRD  and fix this  because 1 remote machine not bad.  but I am going to have 4  sometime next month and would like this to manage the machines.

Hi all!
Love boinc Stats:)

I just got a boinc working in Amazon's EC2 cloud and am now trying to get BT to connect to it so I don't have to drive my self nuts with all that command line junk.

Went to add computers and tried to add the public and then the private ip  no go.

The password is the pem file but how would I use that?

Any BT tech guru want to make a free account and do a step by step?  LOL

;D
Best go here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_forum.php?id=10 and ask how to connect remotely to your cloud computer.
If you know how, you can set up BoincTasks accordingly.

I use Putty to get in remotely but still no gui  that is why I was trying to get your program to do it.
Thinking now though since it lets you import your own vm, of making a vm with boinc on it and uploading that.
