Thanks Fred. TT is a great utility and BT is simply amazing!

For recent versions of TT: when right clicking on the tray icon there are only 2 choices, "Open" or "About", no longer an "Exit" choice. This behavior is the same on all of my machines. The only way
What happens:
1) The graph disk copy is read back from disk.
2) When ready the exit should be there.
So it may take a couple of seconds, even more for the exit to appear.
Check the expert tab xx Days buffer.
Or disable it all together by removing the check at "Keep disk copy"
Quote from: fred on August 29, 2012, 05:58:36 AMThat's the log with the plug. The log without the plug shows:
Looking at this:
Amd/Ati: found 2 devices
Amd/Ati: ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series Present (Pos: 0, Valid adapter: 0)
21 August 2012 - 13:51:04 AdapterInfo: Pos: 0, Valid adapter: 0, Index: 0, ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series
Pos: 0, Temperature: 51
Amd/Ati: ATI Radeon HD 4770 Present (Pos: 1, Valid adapter: 3)
21 August 2012 - 13:51:04 AdapterInfo: Pos: 1, Valid adapter: 3, Index: 3, ATI Radeon HD 4770
Pos: 1, Temperature: 58
I see 2 temperature readings that are the from the same card. A 7 degrees difference can't happen withing a second.
Quote from: fred on August 25, 2012, 03:54:04 AMIn 5.93 I added:If I use the above as the tthrottle.xml, TT lists 3 instances of GPU 0, 2 instances of GPU 1 and passes the same GPU 0 temp on to BT for both GPUs. I also tried:
<GPU_SETUP>
<ati_not_active> 1 </ati_not_active>
<GPU_SETUP>
1 adds cards that are inactive. But I have no idea what's inactive.
Quote from: fred on August 21, 2012, 05:23:22 PMIndeed it did on the machine in question. There's a typo in the xml though though, I believe the closing line should be:
Here: C:\Program Files\eFMer\TThrottle\examples
<GPU_SETUP>
<ati_number_gpu> 2 </ati_number_gpu>
<GPU_SETUP>
This may use the second card without the plug.

You forgot to set "Debug" in the: And a log with the plug: So I miss some vital info.
Quote from: fred on August 21, 2012, 05:56:42 AMThere must be a way as GPU-Z, MSI Afterburner and even BOINC find the GPU and read it correctly with no dummy plug. TT doesn't see the GPU at all.Quote from: Beyond on August 20, 2012, 03:19:28 PMYou have to ask ATI, it's something in the driver that blocks the reading of the card.
Question: If it wasn't for TT not seeing the ATI without dummy plug I would leave it off, so wouldn't have to deal with the irritating Windows phantom desktop. Any way TT could be made to see/control the GPU without a dummy plug?
There thinking may be no display, no use, no need of a temp.
