Questions / Re: Wallclock Time
March 16, 2021, 10:46:20 AM
Does Wallclock-Time really only work with:

No more work
Suspend project (Resume project)
Snooze (Cancel snooze)
Snooze GPU (Cancel snooze GPU)

I have set up a rule with Wallclock-Times that should run a program, that notifys me about special situations, but this rules shouldn't work between midnight and 06:00 °Clock in the morning.

Now they never notify me

Questions / Wallclock Time
March 12, 2021, 04:13:47 PM
I'm having problems setting wallclock-time

In Rule-Editor, I can select Wallclock-Time and get a table with green points

If I click on these green points, an editor-windows opens where I can set or change the points to red / green. This box doesn't have any okay- or cancel-button, only the X in the right corner .

If I set times from 06:00 to 24:00 sometimes they seem to get saved (I can see them when I open the editor-window again, but sometimes my settings are totally ignored.

If I finish Rule-Editor by clicking okay, then re-open it, all Wallclock-Times are gone

Questions / Rule to check Status running
February 01, 2021, 04:43:11 PM
Hi,

I'm using rules to identify dead VMs that BOINC-Client still thinks they are running good.

I have set up the rules to check the runtime of the WUs and the CPU-Usage

If the runtimes goes for example about 4 hours (machine depending) and the CPU-Usage is beyond 90% then I get a notification-mail.

The Client is configured to pause all tasks when Backup-Software is active in the night.

Now I get false-notifications in the night, when Backup-Software is running, because CPU-Usage goes down to zero during backup.

Is there a way to check if the status of the WU is paused or better running ? So far I only found check for error / Uploading / Ready / Aborted.

Questions / Computername within Rules
December 09, 2020, 01:17:15 PM
Hi,

I'm using the rules to get a notification when something seems to be wrong with my tasks.

The Rule is independent from the computers (I use 8 computers) but when I run a batch, I would like to give the name of the computer as parameter to the batch.

Batch-calling can handover a parameter, but what would be the correkt value for the Computer(name) ?

x:\Batch.bat, Computer ? ? ? ? ?

Wish List / Please add Status Postponed
January 07, 2019, 07:34:34 PM
Hi,

I'm running a lot of LHC-Tasks. Sometimes a task gets "postponed: xxxxxxxx".

BOINCTasks only shows "waiting to run". So I sit there and have no idea why the task doesn't start. When I log on the client I see postponed .....

It would be very helpful, if BOINCTasks could show this status also.

Thanks in Advance

Maybe you can test more pcs using virtual machines instead?
...
Much easier would be to make additional instanzes of BOINC on the same machine (At the moment I'm running up to 15 on 1 PC)

Or, you come with RemoteControlSoftware on my Desktop (Teamviewer). Please send me PM if wanted

4,62 may take a very long time to trigger.
>4 Ready and Aborted
Aahh, I misinterpreted this.

Thought, > 4,62 would read as: Status Uploading, >62 count

So, I should set =4,62 but what happens, when count =64 ?

You can go to the Computer tab and disable all computer but one.
Exit Boinctasks and start it again.
Than click on another tab and add one computer at a time, see who is doing this.
This seems to do the Trick  :D

At the moment all is really fine again.

I keep you informed if the problem comes back

Thank you for your help
