While you can't set a task to "do not disturb", you can control how many tasks of each project run at a time by using max_concurrent and project_max_concurrent in app_config.xml files as explained on the page Client configuration.

I clarify:
Run regedit and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\eFMer\BoincTasks
Don't delete that folder but delete ONLY the folder filter.

My bad. I deleted the entire BoincTasks folder.

But it did fix the problem.  ;D

But I still have the problem with the Sidebar project selection that is new to version 1.65.
Was there since 1.54, but with 1.65 we lost it  :o , too much deactivated, should work again in 1.66.
In 1.64 it should work.

Sorry, I wasn't clear.

The Sidebar project selection is not new to version 1.65. The fact that it does not work is new to version 1.65. It is under the View menu and was off when I restarted after deleting the registry key.

BTW, has anyone else with this problem tried deleting the registry key to fix your show tasks problem?
A bit of a heads up, it will erase ALL of your settings, but you can save your colors in BT by going to File->Write color settings before deleting the registry key and then File->Read color settings after restarting BT. Anything else I think you will have to write down to preserve, like your column order, sort preferences or anything else you don't think you can remember.

Sorry I didn't try the registry thing first Fred. That might have saved you from having to re-write a working program.

Hmm should not be possible.
Exit BoincTasks.

Run regedit and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\eFMer\BoincTasks
Delete the whole folder filter.
Start BoincTasks again.

That fixed it the Show CPU tasks problem.

But I still have the problem with the Sidebar project selection that is new to version 1.65.

I just installed version 1.65 and there is no change.

If I select only Show CPU tasks, I see no tasks. If I select only Show GPU tasks, I can see my CPU tasks.

I am not currently running any GPU tasks.

Sorry, but whatever you did, didn't work. At least not for me.

Also, it appears as though I have lost the ability to choose which projects I wish to see by selecting them in the second window under All Projects.

This happens with all of the projects I run. I am not currently running any GPU tasks, but I took some screen shots showing the Extra menu and the selections on it for you as well as copying the log after letting BoincTasks run for over 10 minutes. I zipped all that up and emailed it to you as requested. It will come from the email I registered on this site with.

I hope this helps.

Fred,

I love BoincTasks. I don't know what I would do without it. The Suspend at Checkpoint in 1.64 is great!

I'm running BT 1.64 on Win 7 64-bit with BOINC 7.2.42 (x64) and I still have this same problem. With Show CPU tasks checked under the Extra menu, I cannot see any CPU tasks in the Tasks tab. I believe it works just the opposite for GPU tasks, I have to have Show CPU tasks checked but not Show GPU tasks to see any GPU tasks in the Tasks tab.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times with the same version. I have tried uninstalling before installing the new version. I have tried uninstalling the Beta version I was running and installing the same number version once it became the stable version. I have upgraded my NVIDIA driver. None of these have made a difference.

I do not remember exactly when this started.

The only thing I have not done is uninstall and search the registry for all references to BoincTasks or eFMer and remove those before installing. If you think that would help, I could try that but would rather save that as a last option.

I update to the latest Beta when it is released.

Is there any other fix to this problem?
