Hi Fred,

I've donwloaded and installed BOINC-TG, and read the setup instructions, some FAQ before starting:

- SETI User ID: which one the short one, the CPID, I insert it the short one and could not get any info, I mean I insert the ID and Computer -- Add from Internet, but don't get any computer.
- I could attach manually hosts, I've this computer in the remote_hosts.cfg of every host.
- I've setup the host with the gui_rpc_auth.cfg password of every computer, and the work is seen, but if I Load from internet I got an empty windows with its colummns but no data.

I know that it's a beta program, and much to be polished has to be done, but Why I didin't get any info when attaching with the Seti ID, or really what is the ID that I have to insert.

there has to be done anything with the Windows Firewall??

Hi Fred,

I've seen that sometimes when right click in the TThrottle task bar icon, two menu are shown at the same time, the "Task bar properties menu" and the "TThorttle menu", version x86 and x64, I'll email picture of this.

Hi all,

still shown in version x64 the CUDA tab in PC with AMD/ATI GPU.
in this PC is correctly shown the GPU temperature and in mini window too.

I've seen than the driver is installed on windows\system32\drivers (x86 & x64 versions)

does it means that the driver is 32bits (for both versions)??

please correct me if I'm wrong, and now I can not remember how could I saw it.

New: A progress bar, in the first tab, now indicates the percentage of work done on the computer.

please, explain a little.

is it the CPU fraction running for BOINC??

it really gives you a good visual idea of the running processes,
could be added another one parallel to itself for the % of GPU running for BOINC??

why not a unified installer containing the two versions x86 and x64???

depending of the detected OS that the own installer setup the correct
version of program?

e.g. if x86 OS found install the x86 version, if x64 OS found install the
x64 version.

this thing I've seen in another programs that there is only one installer
with the differents versions and it install the one that fits with your
system (and always the higher possible).

I've setup the last version 1.60 time stamp 09.06.2009 08:53.

when right click in the icon and update:

x86 version, correct, you have the newest version.
tested in my laptop with xp pro x86.

x64 version, incorrect, it shows me that new version available 1.58.
tested in all my xp pro x64 machines (3) with same result.

previous to setup the program in all computers I've deleted completely
the TThrottle directory.

Hi all,

in previous versions I had a fix with the updater, on the way that 1.59 beta or 1.60 beta
were installed and I clicked the mouse in the icon and update, look for new version, and
I got, new version found 1.58

why not numbering the beta versions as e.g. 1.61.0...X and the definitive version as the
last number of the list while in the same version, in order not to have this tricky upgrade
(dowgrade if followed).

in that way some minor released could be done for cosmetic bugs, etc.

e.g. if the definitive version is 1.61.4 but there is a small correction before a newer version
could be 1.61.5 and up without making Fred crazy with all the stuff we ask.

Hi all,

I've seen in the last two beta versions used, that you sent me for testing last
morning, something strange  

Running TThrottle beta and BOINC (client version 6.6.31 for windows_intelx86),
I could check it on the laptop only (WXP SP3 x86).

right click on TThrottle icon and exit, now I see in the Process Explorer 11.33
that the BOINC remains throttled with no work load, but the programs in memory,
when supposed that should be working at full load after ending the throtling.

in order to make working againg I have to "Kill Process Tree" of boincmgr.exe in
PE 11.33 and run again the BOINC Manager and after TThrottle beta.

Hi all,

I've seen that in the wish list is:

Send an E-Mail when a BOINC program freezes.

could be in the preferences tab.

I think that another email could be useful, "report email" in the logging tab,
that takes all the info in the log and send it to you (eFMer), with the same
presets for the smtp as the "freezzing email", in order to make easier for
testing, report of bugs, etc. purposes.

I've four computer at home, three with windows xp pro x64 sp2 (English MUI Spaniard)
& one laptop with xp pro x86 sp3 (Spaniard).

two computer with xp pro x64 sp2 & GPU NVIDIA show correct GPU boxes and
temperature too, [AMD Athlon64 & AMD Athlon64 x2].

one computer with xp pro x64 sp2 & GPU ATI the squares for the GPU is not shown
(in this computer is shown only one temperature with four cores working in BOINC and the
temperature of the cores is absolutely the same) [AMD Phenon64 x4]. 

laptop with xp pro x86 sp3 & GPU ATI, same as above with the GPU    [AMD Turion64]. 

TTrottle 1.56 x64 in the three computers with XP x64 and 
TTrottle 1.57 x86 in XP x86 laptop installed (and working in the temperature Trottle).
