Add: Read the TJunction temperature directly from the CPU when possible.

Warning this may crash the system on older CPU's, I don't think so but there is a chance.

Please send met the log, so I get some more data on the TJunction / CPU.

Add these lines to the config.xml file.
The config.xml should be placed together with the BT exe.

<config>
   <refresh>
      <downloads>   3600   </downloads>
      <uploads>     7200   </uploads>
      <refresh>     14400   </refresh>
   </refresh>
</config>

WARING in the newer versions use:
      <auto>      3600   </auto>
and remove <downloads> and <uploads>.
This mode automatically adjusts the timing.

BT will now retry any pending downloads every hour and the uploads every 2 hour.
This will only affect the localhost.

As of V 1.06 an example can be found here: C:\Program Files\eFMer\BoincTasks\examples

Beta Testing / Testing Version 3.41
March 26, 2011, 03:47:05 PM
Fixed: BOINC connection mode: When tasks get suspended and the thread count goes to 0, detect Suspended and don't add the tasks to the throttle list.
Fixed: As of V 3.2, One tasks isn't assigned to any throttling regulator at all and is running at 100%.

When you are running a Beta version: I recommend you update to this version A.S.A.P., because there is a serious bug in the older Beta versions.

Translations / BOINC translatable text
November 24, 2010, 08:18:51 AM
The latest BOINC versions, beyond 6.10.56 ?? allow for translatable text.

In the btlang file they show up like this:

A text Message from is shown as shown text. The ^ separates the two texts.
Placing two ?? in the unused string will show any untranslated text as:

^to be translated^, the text is marked by ^ at the beginning and end.

<TranslatableBoincText>

FAQ / Tips
November 17, 2010, 08:21:53 AM
A quick way to show and hide BoincTasks, is by assigning a "hot key" like e.g. F12 to show and hide.

In Projects and Tasks you can rearrange the columns, by dragging and drop the column header.

You can rearrange the tool-bars, by picking them up and drag them to another location.

The computer sidebar can be height and width adjusted, by dragging the bar out off the locked position, adjust the dimensions and drag it back.

A graphic can be maximized by a double click on the graph. (V0.88 and up)

A quick way to retry tasks in Transfers is by double clicking on the task, this will also break the project back-off.

Filters can be temporarily removed, by double clicking on a filtered line. To enable filtering again, double click on any task, with the state that was previously filtered.

Once you select a row, the selections stays visible. To remove this selection hold the "Ctrl" and select the row.

A selection can be used to follow a task as it progresses, as the selection stays locked on the same task. Multiple tasks can be selected by holding the "Ctrl" or "Shift" key.

Fixed: A child process is shown in the list, but not throttled.

Beta Testing / Testing Version 3.10
November 13, 2010, 03:22:15 PM
Add: An option in tthrottle.xml to exclude specific project (url's). See examples.
Add: An option in tthrottle.xml to create a file log. See examples.
Changed: Connect with BOINC client mode: Add child processes. This caused programs with wrappers not to throttle.

Once BoincTasks has created the html file it needs to be uploaded to your web site.

The examples are based on the free ftp program found here: http://winscp.net/
Any other program that can you can start from a batch file and can execute a script should do.

Copy the examples from: \Program Files\eFMer\BoincTasks\examples\html

ftp.bat
boinctasks_ftp.txt
tasks_template.html

To C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\eFMer\BoincTasks\html

Don't forget to enable this feature in Extra->BoincTasks settings->WWW "Enable WWW update"

After creating the html file BoincTasks starts the file ftp.bat
This batch file should upload the html file to your server.

How to get thinks working with WinSCP:

Start WinSCP.
Press new.
Fill in the fields and press Safe.
In the first screen press login, once you can login, use this name in the batch file and you are ready.

Integrate in your website. / FTP MODE: Design your page
November 11, 2010, 07:46:13 AM
How it works:

When BoincTasks generates a html file it inserts text blocks at the location of reserved insert words:
The file tasks_template.html is used and the result is placed in tasks.html.
Copy a template.html file from /html/examples folder, to /html and rename it into tasks_template.html.

Reserved insert words:

__TimeStamp__  Here the creation time is inserted, using the BoincTasks date format.
__InsertHeader__ Here the header is inserted
__InsertRow__ Here the rows is inserted. The next row is inserted directly after the last one.

Header:

<!--
__InsertHeaderTemplateBegin__
<tr>
<td BGCOLOR="#C0C0C0">__Project__</td><td BGCOLOR="#C0C0C0">__Application__</td><td BGCOLOR="#C0C0C0">__Name__</td><td BGCOLOR="#C0C0C0">__Percentage__</td><td BGCOLOR="#C0C0C0">__Timeleft__</td><td BGCOLOR="#C0C0C0">__State__</td><td BGCOLOR="#C0C0C0">__Deadline__</td><td BGCOLOR="#C0C0C0">__Computer__</td>
</tr>
__InsertHeaderTemplateEnd__ -->

The text between __InsertHeaderTemplateBegin__ and __InsertHeaderTemplateEnd__ is inserted in the __InsertHeader__ location.
Just before the insertion the reserved words in the header are substituted by the real names, according to the language set in BoincTasks.

Rows:

<!--
__InsertRowTemplateBegin__
<tr>
<td BGCOLOR="#__ProjectColor__">__Project__</td><td BGCOLOR="#__ApplicationColor__">__Application__</td><td BGCOLOR="#__NameColor__">__Name__</td><td BGCOLOR="#__PercentageColor__">__Percentage__</td><td BGCOLOR="#__TimeleftColor__">__Timeleft__</td><td BGCOLOR="#__StateColor__">__State__</td><td BGCOLOR="#__DeadlineColor__">__Deadline__</td><td BGCOLOR="#__ComputerColor__">__Computer__</td>
</tr>
__InsertRowTemplateEnd__ -->

The text between __InsertRowTemplateBegin__ and __InsertRowTemplateEnd__ is inserted in the __InsertRow__ location.
Rows will be inserted depending on the rows in the BoincTasks Tasks view.
Just before the insertion the reserved words in the row are substituted by the actual row text.

Reserved substitution words:

Project
Application
Name
Elapsed
CpuPercentage
Percentage
Timeleft
Deadline
Use
State
Tthrottle
Temperature
Computer
Checkpoint
Debt

Words that are substituted by a text have __ before and behind the word. E.g. __Computer__
Words that are substituted by a color have __ before and Color__ behind the word. E.g. __ComputerColor__

Warning : Words are case sensitive.

But it looks more complicated as it actually is, take the tasks_template as a starting point.

You can place the reserved words, any where you like. But of course the resulting html file must be a valid one.
You may add or remove reserved words as needed.
