Hi all,

is there any way of setup 2 computers with same settings?? except with patient, pen, paper and copying everything.

something like using "Regedit" and copying part of one key, etc. saving this to file ".reg" and applying to other computer??

this involves going across one computer in x32 and the desired clone in x64.

Export and Import of the BoincTask key should work. But if this works from 32 to 64

v0.49 64-bit version crashed immediately on startup on my Intel Core Duo, Vista SP2 laptop host.  First install was as an update, installing over v0.48 with no reboot (never a problem with earlier versions).  Next I rebooted the machine, same result.  Next I tried a "clean" install, after uninstalling via the Control Panel--same result.  Possibly there's some incompatibility with previously written Registry keys that aren't being removed by the uninstaller?

I've reverted to v0.48, operating normally.  

Possibly similar to my experience.  I was installing to a host which had been running Beta .46.  The machine is a Windows XP Pro SP3 32-bit Core 2 Quad.

On launching BOINCTasks for the very first time, I got an instantaneous "please tell Microsoft about this problem" popup.  Clicking on the "see what data this error report contains" shows an extensive dump, but I could not seem to select it for copy and paste, and the 4k file it proposed to send along with the dump to Microsoft had little in it (though I did save it).

I tried an uninstall from Control Panel, turning off my COMODO firewall, which has interfered with a very few installations, and a new install, but that gave the same result.  Reinstalling version .46 without even a reboot came back up and running.

If I can make this report more useful by providing additional information or running tests I'd be happy to help out.

Please wait for V 0.50. If this still gives a problem, let me know.

should be fine to include too, something like "remember last connection", on the way that
as it's now the non conneted icon appears in the left panel, but if there has been a successful
connection with the client that such units, etc. remains visible in BT.

I made a note in the todo list.

Better late than never, regarding the fix in v0.48:

(Changed) Tasks tab: When status is downloading and % = 100, then status is download error with the error color.

I finally got another download failure and captured the error messages

The Status displayed in BOINCMgr was "Download failed".  BT correctly displayed this task in red (error color) with Status "Download error".

I see, it's on the list, I need to make it a bit wider though.
Normally I have some more computers to test this, on this LT I use, it's even too big. On yours it's too small.

0.49 has a serious bug, on my own computer it works ok all the time except at boot-up.
A pointer is accessed before it's initialized, it is set to NULL though  and for some reason it works most of the time.
Most of my testing is done with the debugger... and some errors simply don't show up. Should be easy to correct.

It is released in V 0.49, but this version gives an occasional crash on some computers, so better wait for V 0.50.

could be useful to check if some computer if TT is out dated in the computers windows, same as is the BOINC version, could be the TThottle version too.

on that way with a quick view you could see if something should be updated.

another thing could be to see the O.S. installed in those computers and the BOINC architecture installed to (x86, x64, etc.)

x64 version working, some cosmetics:

• missing "all computers" in computer left panel (tree)
• some extra sorting number in some windows, why??
• the length of the selection bar should be adjustable to show the total length or desired, instead the arrow, the arrows are very useful if there is no enough screen room.
• although "BOINC website" string is translated in translation is shown the English version, instead the localized one.
• this version and previous showing Milkyway GPU stock applications as low performance, but working correctly.
• where is "restart project"??

try to investigate if is there anything else.

but as previous message x32 version not working, I really don't no why?? if x64 is working perfectly.

I'm not sure if I have found a bug in 0.47 or if I have something misconfigured:

In my farm, I have two machines with pretty similar names, e.g. ROBOT and ROBOTii

I display data from all machines in Combined Tasks mode and I notice that if I click the Tasks or History tabs and then highlight any of the machines in the sidebar, I can see the results for that machine in the main window. However, if I click the Messages tab and select ROBOTii, the main window shows data for ROBOT instead.

Is this a bug or if not, is there some way I can give more diagnostic information?

Bug...

When you select all computers in the sidebar and select the computer in the message tab, using the right mouse key (context menu), everything works fine.
But when you select a computer with the sidebar you alway get ROBOT.
Found the problem, corrected in the next version 0.49.
