Having a Radeon 4870X2, and V174-64Bit does not show any temperatures

Looks like a driver compatibility issue. TThrottle interfaced with the AMD driver and requires Catalyst 9.3 and above.
Do you have 2 cards installed?

Not sure if this belongs on the Beta Testing section, but since it is a possible bug, it seemed not to belong with suggestions.

Anyway, I am running version 0.42.  When I exited it for the first time, on restart it only connected with localhost, but not the four networked hosts to which I had been observing before the exit.  Upon using the Computers|Show|Password column, I noticed that the password I had entered was shown in all lowercase.  When I re-entered the password with correct case, the program reconnected.

Possibly this is a bug.

This looks like a definite bug. Strange that no one has found this one.
Will be corrected in the next version.
Try the Expert tab and enable encryption, next enter the passwords again, that may work.
It looks like the encrypted mode keeps the upper case.

(ADD) Tasks view: Option to show the user unfriendly name = mostly shorter, instead of the default user friendly name.
(CHANGED) Project view: New projects that are not complete now show a blank project field, show the Url instead.
(FIXED) Tasks: A task running High P. was still showing Running High P, when suspended (snooze).

BOINC Prefs doesn't always  go to the right machine.

Eg. Either on Projects or Tasks tab (all computers view), highlight a row then go to boinc prefs, it should show you the prefs of the selected computer (in that row )but its not.

My workaround is to go directly to that computer instead of all computers view.

Is this by design or not?

Under History tab, "copy selected" doesn't copy what you have really selected.

Both are on the list.

Minor bug--

On the Projects tab, after a change in the project list (e.g., detaching a project), block select using the Shift key won't work until BT is shut down & restarted.  (Extended select using the Ctrl key still works though.)  Request you add it to "the list."

P.S., enjoy your vacation.  If you haven't already been to the Anza-Borrego, you should take a side trip up Palomar_Mountain (1872 meters ASL).  It's an easy hike up the South Grade along a switchback road (County Road S6), and the Palomar Observatory is well worth the trip.  As a bonus, the drive from Borrego Springs up to State Route 76 (the base of Palomar) provides an spectacular view of the whole desert.

Did about 15 new hikes in Borrego and the rest is for next year. You can see Palomar far away, I may do that one next year. This month I'm in Tucson.

I like problems that solve themselves. 

Hi - this is driving me crazy and I hope you can help.

- I have BoincTasks running on a Windows 7 PC and it reads itself fine (using Boinc manager 6.10.18).
- BoincTasks connects to my XP PC on my network just fine (again, same version Boinc manager)
- BoincTasks won't connect to my other Windows 7 PC at all.  Same version Boinc manager, and I went through the troubleshooting guide and everything to triple check, with same result.  All the BoincTasks log says is "connection error".

I'm betting anything that this has something to do with the networking aspect of Windows 7 - I've disabled the firewall, added the proper port, pinged both PC's (they see each other fine)...I can even transfer files between both machines...I just can't get BoincTasks to work

Anyone have any idea what might be going on?  Only other thing I can think of is that I'm running Win 7 64-bit on the host and Win7 32-bit on the client (but that shouldn't make a difference??)

Go to computers -> find computers.
See if BOINC gets a v for detected.
Next try putting in the address in the address range and give a address range of the single computer only.
Hit "Scan address range" and see what you get.

Look in the log of the remote machine with BoincManager or BoincTasks at the remote machine. See if there is any report about the connection.

It should work on a remote machine with Windows 7.

A Wish List item...

Addition of a quick(er) way to set and unset the Combined Filters that is based upon the status;
maybe something like a "control-double-click"  that would examime the current status of the item under the cursor, and then set (combine) or unset (expand) those of the same status.

Where this would be helpful is that for some of us who do have hundreds of tasks, and we beleive that it is convenient to leave the task list viewable (with all except actual 'running' tasks being combined), then this would eliminate several clicks and menu selections in order to do a series of expansions-combinations for a quick view of what is pending and back again.

Ok put it on the list, double click to remove/add the filtering on the selected task.

Sorting by column header in the tasks tab does not seem to work properly.  Sometimes it rearranges the rows, sometimes not, but even when it does rearrange the rows, it still does not look sorted.

something similar happens to me too, as I reported by email.

I will take another look and see if I can find something.

I have a couple of projects that refuse to complete initialization (BOINC core problem).  So they have no project name.  BOINC Tasks shows the name as blank.  It would be useful if in this case the project name showed as the URL instead of blank.

That's because BOINC isn't reporting any names. But I put it on the list to check.
If you know of any projects that do this consistently for testing.
