Hi all,

still I got the fix about sorting, I use only sorting with two columns, but every time I run BT "Tasks" and "Transfers" tab are sorted by means of three columns. ??
Which of the 3 columns are sorted?
What column is sorted incorrectly?

Give me the following info.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER software efmer Boinctasks sorting and give me the numbers for:
tasks_p tasks_s tasks_t (the 3 sorting columns)

I want sorting only by two columns, not by three.
tasks_p 517
tasks_s 267
tasks_t 521
I should be able to solve this in the next version.
I've done some extensive hiking over huge boulders, so not today. ;D

Beta Testing / Re: Multicore projects show CPU % oddly

I will attach to the Aqua project and will do some additional testing.
The bar should not go beyond 100% otherwise the bar gets out of range.
Should be simple to solve for the next release.
Thanks for the imput

...
Later at 29 hours, the progress is finally "non-zero" at 32.379%. I can't tell whether it has always been below 1% or has ben jumping high and low.
...
Yes, definitely jumpin' around. At 30:17:13 and 33.372%, Boinc Tasks is again showing 0.769% ... 0.770% ... 0.805% ... 0.822 slowly rising, but got suspended for now.
Interestingly, at the same time the mini preview gadget window is displaying the progress% correctly.

Few hours later, few seconds prior to upgrade to BT 0.42, the Progress rising towards 1.0%, just after the upgrade the 0.42 is showing 38.901%. But it also could just have been one of these jumps...
Added to the bug list: Don't use alternative progress % when the default % is above 0%.
Unfortunately I do not understand the issue :) never mind. (Or, is it for cases when/while the application does not report any % progress at all?)
Since the upgrade to 0.42, I've never noticed a progress under 1% - it was continuously moving through 40-50-60-70%.
I removed the bug report, when you notice it again let me know.

For Pirates@Home, Boinc Manager shows in the Project tab: "Scheduler request pending, Requested by project, Scheduler request in progress", whereas Boinc Tasks (sorry, it was the 0.41) was displaying a non-explanatory "sRPCp 7".
Is in the bug list.

V 0.42

-(ADD) A check in the Expert dialog to enable or disable password encryption. (default is off).
-(CHANGED) Filter, use the project as well, to separate tasks from SETI and SETI Beta.
-(CHANGED) The number of remote computers is now 40, was 20.
-(CHANGED) Non cpu intensive projects like FreeHAL that don't set the use value now default to 0.025 C.
-(CHANGED) History, moved some memory from main to stack, to fight crashes on some computers with a large (+5000)  history. A history above 1000 is not recommended.
-(FIXED) The sorting on the Use column did not work.

I may have found the issue. Its the number of history logs.

I enabled history with fresh history logs and its working. Placing back the old logs whc has about 7000 entries for each machine (total of 7), it crash with the same eventid (1000). The logs has about 3.x weeks of data.

Is there a limit on history?
There should not be any limit, but 1000 is a nice limit.
Beyond that it will take more and more of your computer time as every 10 seconds all x thousand entries have to be compared.

I made some adjustments that may or may not help. I moved the dynamic buffer from main memory to stack memory. Sometimes the memory is limited even as it shouldn't be.
Let's see if that does anything, I expect a new release soon.

TM 0.41beta

I currently have 2 Yoyo/Cruncher ogr tasks in state Waiting.  One has ET/Prog of 05:07:08/57.142%.  The other has ET/Prog of 00:00:01/0.00%.  When I apply the filter to Waiting tasks, the combined entry for Yoyo/Cruncher ogr has ET/Prog of 00:00:01/0.00% ???  I have pictures.
If you have the project name, tasks and pictures great.

Same error after deleting the csv. I have to delete the csv, edit the computer.xml (connect only to localhost), run the app then turn off the history to make it work. Then I can connect to the rest of the computers without having the error 1000.
I will try to find something but I may well be something with the BOINC Version that is different. I only the BOINC Release version is tested.

When tasks in state "Waiting to run" are filtered, it appears that the Elapsed Time & Progress % displayed are the lowest among members of the group.  Is this intentional?  It seems more informative to show the highest ET & Prog% of a Waiting group rather than the lowest :-\
The progress is for all tasks combined, so the average for the progress and all times are added up for the elapsed/time left.  The deadline time is the one closest to the deadline.

W7 x64, BOINC v6.10.32

It happen when uploads (to SAH) are stuck.

I have History turned on and when I deleted those csv's the app runs fine but logged in history are the pending uploads. In normal times uploads or ready to report are not listed on history.

Hope this helps.
Tasks are logged when they are in uploading or ready to report. Sometimes uploading is simply too short.
But after deleting the csv files you don't get any errors?

It's in the bottom of the main frame on the right.

Not to be contrary, but "bottom of the main frame" is actually the right-hand panel of the optional Status bar.  If that's deselected--no version number (except for pulling down Help/About...).  I join benDan in respectfully suggesting that putting the version following BoincTasks on the titlebar would be nice (if not too painful coding-wise) ;)
Ok 2 requests, on the list.
