Questions / Re: Not applying rules

Hello Fred again  ::)
I'm been using the 1.7.0 version you put in another thread because the 1.6.9 don't dtects me the GPU1.
The problem is that I created a rule that says if GPU temp goes down to 60ยบ, reboot the OS. This is because I'm having VPU recover errors with collatz... but I detect that the rule don't works. Today I lose more than 10 hours for this  :( .
I think is because the app is not "complete" and not installed. It's possible? If is possible, you can give me a complete version?

PD I put the log for if can help you.

You can change it into
if gpu temperature < 60 reboot reset 70

This mean the rule is made active (turns blue) when the temperature goes above 70 C.
It is triggered when it goes below 60.
You can change the reset value to any other value to make sure the rule is not activated too soon.
As you can end up with reboot loops.  ;D

The version 1.70 is now a regular version http://www.efmer.eu/boinc/download.html

I saw that one, but it is probably a driver thing. I don't get a name from the driver.
Do you have the latest drivers installed on that machine?

9.2 otherwise CAL MW and AP won't work properly.
The most important thing of all.. it works  ;D

-2 check box start BT at start-up always unchecked.
1 I will fix that one for the next release.

Just installed version 2.5 Color preferences not being carried forward from older version.
Sorry about that, I had to do some changes in the registry names.
This was the last and only time I will do this.  ;D

Hi Fred,

about it's now in the wish list but could be in connection:
- 1 store the windows position (already in wish list)
- 2 remember disconnected computers, I mean, if computer is not connected at this moment, remember the last state that it had.
- 3 in the previous case could be shown a red "X" before the name in the window.
- 4 some kind of store for retired host, case of upgrading one computer.
- 5 if possible in case of portable computer, save different computers distributions, case using at home the normal layout and in case of remote connection.
1 Already done that one  ;D.
2 Why would you want that, because the data will be totally off.
3 What window?
4 There already is a store all settings in the wish list.
5 ????
2 just to keep track of historical computers, and in case that comms will lost the computer doesn't dissapear from the panel as it happens now.
3 in the computer panel.
4 no the store of settings, in connection with 2 keep file of retired computers.
5 if I run BT at home it use to have some settings as IP (mainly private IP), etc.
if I want to run from the www, there should be another IP(public with ports forwarded), another domains, etc, for same computers that these options could be stored and retrieved depending where you were, "home" the Intranet IP or connected to internet away home "On the Fly".
5 is in the wish list.
The others I still don't understand the why.

Wish List / Re: Windows Explorer crash

after a windows explorer crash, that the icons of TT and BT would be visible in the task bar, most of the times when this happens and explorer is restarted they are not visible.
A Windows problem, some icons disappear, not only the BoincTasks icon.
This is mostly a serious crash, that is solved by a sort of reboot of the explorer. And the explorer is a lot including the desktop.
There shouldn't be a crash in the first place.

Wish List / Re: Rules - reboot BOINC

Rebooting OS can take a few minutes. Instead reboot the BOINC app can take no more than a minute. Sometimes the problem is at the app and not at the OS. Can you put this in your app?

Thank you!!
Ok I will put this on the list

In version 1.24, linking to the various projects does not always display the possible links.

EXample:

World Community  works fine.
Aqua@home  shows an thin empty selection box.

Otherwise everything is working that I have tested.

Thanks for the time being added to the message log.
Some projects simply don't have a selection list at all. Some of them, that I now of, like Milyway display one link, but that link doesn't work  ;D.
When there is no link BM inserts the default project link. But that one is not always a valid page link.
I think all projects with only one link in BM, don't have a link in the list at all.
Probably they just forgot to make a url list.

Questions / Re: COlor in project panel?

What does the color mean that appears in the share % column on the project panel?  It only appears on projects running on my wireless laptop, not on any of the desktops.
That is still in the Wish list, now: The normally running projects and all others.
Will change in one of the next versions to select more states.

Fred,
Just as a thought, would it be possible, in some future release, to add a link to the BoincTasks forums off the help menu, or perhaps in the "About BoincTasks" section near where you have the "If you have problems e-mail..."

Walt
Good idea I just added that one. A link in help.

Download the file below, unzip it in a folder, but NOT the TThrottle folder.
So place it in some temp folder together with the tthrottle.xml file.
Run TThrottle and send me the log. This may already work, but it will give me some more info.
