1. Time is not appearing for each message in the message panel.
3.  Charting does not seem to work.  Screen flickers a couple of times and then nothing.
1. can you make a screen shot. (yes copy text from the message box is in the wish list) so I can see what you mean.
3. Do you use the combined mode?

Would it be possible to select a task and be able to go to its corresponding website?  This would prove handy when you are running lots of projects as you do not have to remember the URL address.
Yes that is something I like to do ... It's on my list

Hi Fred,

How could be done??

when you're running GPU work in the computer that is installed BT everytime that the program screen has to be refreshed, there are some 1/2 second or less that you see empty and scrolling to be complete, that is less visible when BT is installed in a computer that is not running GPU tasks.

could it be done in a way of not to see this scrolling??
I never seen that one. XP 64?
What screen? the tasks screen.
What do you see exactly, what do you mean by scrolling does the scrol bar gets longer or shorter.

Done, but still deadline shown as dd/mm/yyyy h:mm ¿¿??  ???
in version 0.20.0 set in preferences and shown perfect. :)

I've just started with 0.20.0, but the additional question/wish remains the same: could please please all date/time values (like the numerical ones are) be right-aligned?

(BTW, I'd prefer a right-aligned dd.mm.YYYY hh:mm while keeping d.m.YYYY h:mm in my regional settings  :) (as I hate the mi-nu-sed or sl/as/hed notations), but everyone likes it somehow else  ;D so I can live with that - except that the Settings dialog would allow entering the string for anyone, just like it is in this forum.)
I already changed the alignment for version 21.
You can get a dd-mm-yyy hh:mm notation regardless of your regional setting by selecting 24h in settings.
But I made an entry in the wish list for a user definable string

Hi Fred,

I think you know that I'm Mariner, so long time away from home (not now that I'm enjoying a leap year).

could be possible in the future to run from e.g. laptop away home and accessing to home computers with BT??

as I told you is an idea.

Carmelo.
I like to make things but there is an excellent program that allows you to access your computer remotely.
logmein and it's free, but there are others as well.

Hi Fred,

very nice version this one.

what is Preference - xml path ??

date and time now shown correctly.

It is the location of the XML file default: c:\documents and settings\UserName\Application Data\eFMer\BoincTasks
Yes this path also exists in Vista. ;D
But some users might want to locate the computer.xml someplace else. e.g to make the computers the same for all users.

Beta Testing / Re: New Version
October 03, 2009, 10:50:11 AM
V 0.20, yes another version numbering  ;D as this is version 20.
And we are now out of beta... sort of.

New in this version:

Automatic first time setup of the Localhost.
The update menu is now working
Autostart of BoincTasks is now added to the settings dialog
Sorting of the Project and Transfer window.
A dockable window for computer selection. View-> Computer bar.
In Projects computer credits and computer average credits
More auto refresh settings and a manual adjust in the setting dialog.

And as always a lot of small changes and bug fixes.

Hi Fred,

BT is showing the date and time as: dd/mm/YYYY h:mm
could it be possible to show as: dd/mm/YYYY hh:mm.  ;)

I forgot it in the deadline column.
This is a Windows thing. Go to config -> country settings. In the time tab set the time to UU:mm:ss

Done, but still deadline shown as dd/mm/yyyy h:mm ¿¿??  ???
Hmm probably they forgot this one, I made a note it is on the list.

Beta testing problems / Re: Win 7

I'm running Windows 7 (Final, no Beta or RC) 32Bit and TThrottle 1.68

It seems, as if TThrottle can only work right if it is started with Admin-privileges

I had started it "normal", my configurations was to keep CPU below 76° but CPU-Temp was really 79°. TThrottle showed in taskbar that it would slow down my processor / my BOINC-Tasks to 5%, but it was not successful doing this. All BOINC_Tasks were running by 100%
I will do some more testing soon. In the last test it still worked ok, but Windows 7 will not be  really final for some time.
Will wait some time before implementing new code. Too much is still Beta, including development tools.
If this problems persists it will involve some serious rewriting of the driver. ::)

If there are others users with this problem, please report.

1) It is possible to sort WU by 2 rows like deadline and % at the same time.
2) Have to check. I haven't seen anything like this for a long long time.
3) Cal should show up as Cuda and I could rename that to GPU.
4) Ok is in the wish list a dockable window with the computers.
5) Sorting in all the other locations like Projects an Transfers is in the wish list
6) All this info is in the message window.
7) In the wish list.
And a lot more

I have seen that in x32 version that connection with one PC was lost, and not updated, showing
that computer as not connected, and there is no option, or I don't know how to update all connections,
so I restarted the BT and the connection with the computer was restored.

when program is closed, is not saved the windows position, size, could be possible to save it ??

CAL at this moment is shown as CPU work.

about 6) yes there is but would be more useful to have this in one tab, on that way you could check lot of thing,
like you're running an-updated BOINC client, or BT could be included too.

could be one option to check and download the BOINC manager and BT version for download inside the BT,
with user define URL for appti applications, etc. and mark with color the outdated cliente, BT version, and if the
user could do with the opti appl. too.

still when a computer run out of work the last WU remains in display.

In Projects tab, 2 more columns for computer credits and computer average credits. if possible one color when a project has run out of work.

I have seen that still there is in the Task - Status column - one text something like state ... I guess that is "New"
because this happens when you get one WU from the server but prior downloading.
After a connection is lost a reconnect is done, but may take some time.
Safe window pos is in the wish list.
For Cal I make some debug logging in the log.
I haven't ran out of work yet...
Computer credits added to the wish list.
The transfer tab is difficult, because it is there for a relative short period of time.

Wish List / Re: Refresh time

is it possible to set a user defined refresh time instead of the actual program defined, e.g. 5 seconds, 10 seconds ....

with this refreshing time could be that CPU is spending time in refreshing clients.?? ;)
Added to the wish list.
The time is calculated depending on the number of WU. When a request is not finished, sometimes the BOINC client is busy, another try is done 1 second later.

V 0.019

This was a mayor change; the sorting got me into all kinds of other problems, but I think it was worth it. It is a definite improvement.

Sorting is completely rewritten ;D and now has 2 sorting steps, first the secondary is sorted and second the primary is sorted.
The secondary is marked V2. The secondary can be switched of entirely. See the manual for more info.

Because of the new sorting I had to rewrite the selection as well ;D. The selection now follows the individual WU. I sometimes use this to follow WU as they progress.

You can now abort WU in the task menu, I waited for this feature for BoincTasks to be stable. A Dialog shows the selected WU and gives a NO and YES option.

The logging is only displaying interesting things now. For full debugging info switch on the debugging check and start BoincTasks again.

Only one copy of BoincTasks can be started.

Some small changes and bug fixes as always.
