Questions / Re: BT 1.95 Missing GPUGRID Ta...
Last post by fred - October 24, 2024, 01:31:06 AM
Quote from: Art_Brown on October 23, 2024, 05:59:18 PMGreetings. I am using BoincTasks ver. 1.95 on a Windows 11 PC, and found that for the History tab, when I select only one Project to show, it works with Einstein@Home and World Community Grid, but not with GPUGRID, which always shows a blank screen. When I select All Projects, the GPUGRID tasks appear correctly. I am keeping 60 days worth of task results for the History tab. Let me know if it is an operator error of some kind.
Thanks, Art Brown
Interesting, I can't test anything right now, so it may be a while before I can pick this up.
My guess is a name mismatch or a URL mismatch.

Quote from: Jimbocous on October 22, 2024, 11:08:15 PMI didn't realize the sidebar could be manipulated in that manner. That works as you described, and allows a proper resizing. The new size is also correctly saved upon exit and restart. Looks as though as long as I don't accidentally crash it in future it will be good, and there's a path to recover.

Thanks for your help. I find the visual indication of machine status this provides is very helpful.
Great to finally have this resolved, good that I remembered.

Quote from: fred on October 21, 2024, 12:48:24 AMOK, next try, pick up the Window at the top and move it to e.g. the right.
The window should be floating, adjust the size and move it back and it should snap in again.

Quote from: fred on October 19, 2024, 01:26:41 AMI just tested it again and it' works sort of, just click on the divider and next adjust the width, you will be able to make it really wide.
If that worked for me, we would not be having this conversation.
I give up. I tried ...  >:(

I see, rewriting the code for this is very complicated and it's something you only do once in a while.

I just tested it again and it' works sort of, just click on the divider and next adjust the width, you will be able to make it really wide.

Weird that you were able to remove it completely, but a restart should check on the width, I could not reproduce it.

Sorry, no. When I do that here once the computer sidebar is gone, resizing it is not possible. Doing what you suggest resizes the entire window, but the missing column is still missing and cannot be accessed.
I never resize it intentionally, but if it's accidentally sized too small it is not recoverable.

I would suggest, going to the HWinfo Forum and ask there.
It might be a bios setting, but that's just a guess.
