Just tried it, worked for me.

Do you get any messages in the left bottom corner.

Did you use a Managing service like BAM! or?? I've been using BoincTaasks for less than 1 week now.

I merged the two topics....

No directly by BoincTasks,  creating an account while adding it.
Projects->Add a new project (you need to select the Projects tab first).

Adding it with the manager is something the manager should handle not BoincTasks.
It's directly handled by the BOINC client.
