tthrottle crashes

Hi Fred,

Let me start with thanking you for the very usefull apps. Im using them all.

On one of my machines, tthrottle crashes. The following happened:
- boinctasks (on another machine) started displaying ?? in stead of the temperature.
- i reinstalled tthrottle: no effect
- i deinstalled tthottle & removed all registry keys with tthrottle in them.
- i installed tthrottle: now the temperature in boinctasks is readable again.
- however, as soon as i enable 'Auto Active" tthottle crashes.

Can you help me?

Interesting, is there a dmp file after the crash. A file *.dmp.
The file is probably in C:\Windows

Better yet a complete dump, but a small dump should do just as well.

It's a bit limited.
The crash seems to be at a very odd place.
But the 24 cores is more than I tested. I will check the program, if there is any overflow, because of the larger number of cores.
Please give me the numbers in the line: (cores and sensors)
This Processor has x cores and  x temperature sensors.

I cannot imagine that would be the reason: It did work for some time.

Some more info: I deinstalled tthrottle, rebooted, installed tthrottle.
running it: http://www.gondolin.com/tthrottle-noprocess.jpg (boincmgr runs, but no calculation threads: user active)
as soon as the calculation threads start, tthrottle crashes.

Maybe it's caused by the lunatics client? app_info: http://www.gondolin.com/app_info.xml

The cause was an array, that was too small.
It's way larger now and there is an overflow check in place now.

The problem is that the crash is not in the program itself.
In the log what does this line show:

Regulator threads used for the CPU: x

1) Try disabling "Connect with BOINC client" and then check "Auto active"

2) Choose Snooze to disable BOINC. Next  check "Auto active"

1) This works, tthrottle doesn't crash.
2) This doesn't work; crashes immediatly after checking the "auto active" box.

1) That's something I can work with, probably a buffer that hasn't enough room for that many processes at once.
Should be easy fix.

This mode works just as well, only specific project like Einstein need the other mode.

The new version 3.51 should solve the crash.
The buffer was indeed a bit small for so many tasks.
