The yellow-marked part increases and grows and grows and grows ...

The entries are empty?
You can go to the Computer tab and disable all computer but one.
Exit Boinctasks and start it again.
Than click on another tab and add one computer at a time, see who is doing this.

This seems to do the Trick  :D

At the moment all is really fine again.
