ERROR: CryptAcquireContext ---- Error 80090016

I had to make a new account in Win7 because Windows Media Player got so corrupted it wouldn't save playlists or turn on streaming so I could use its Play-To function to send music to my Onkyo AVR.

Anyway, with the new account BoincTasks won't start... the log shows the Subject error 10 times, then I have to delete the .dmp files to try again. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it (right-clicking the install file, using Run as administrator and answering Yes to the UAC prompt).

There are NO run times needed, the program is completely standalone.

Try V 1.46 that will be the release anyway soon.
I think the problems are already solved in V 1.46.

Delete the .dmp files before using BoincTasks again.

If you still have problems I need one of the .dmp files generated by V 1.46.

The program crashed that's for sure but the problem may already be fixed. Most likely as 1.45 has a known crash problem on fresh installs and that's exactly what you have done.
Please try 1.46 first. If this doesn't work don't hesitate to report back.

Well, I went to the beta page and got the 146 there; still get the same results (10 successive crashes), though.

I should've used my limited bandwidth to send in an 88MB dmp file... 146 is making 108MB dmp files.

7zip crunches it down to 25MB, anyway.

So, where do I send it, please?

I can see where it crashes, as soon I get working on BoincTasks again I will correct it.
For now go back to V 1.40.
On most computers 1.46 works as it should.
