Cannot connect to BOINC 7.16.5

I am running BoincTasks V1.78 and it connects to 5 Windows 10 PCs and 2 Linux NAS devices with no problem. The Windows 10 PCs are running BOINC version 7.14.2 (32 bit). I updated BOINC on one of the Windows 10 PCs to version 7.16.5 (64 bit) and BoincTasks can no longer connect. I tried disabling the firewall on the updated PC and also on the one running BoincTasks. No go. GUI RPC allowed from any host is enabled. Password file is correct. Rebooted both PCs. Still no go.

Anyone else see this? Any ideas?

Reinstalled the 32 bit version of 7.14.2 and it is working again. I don't see a 32 bit version of 7.16.5 available for download.

Looks like the issue is BoincTasks connecting to the 64 bit version. Any ideas? Any info I can provide?

BTW, v7.14.2 is the last 32 bit version. V7.16.5 and future releases are 64 bit only.

I just installed BOINC 7.15.5 64 bit on my machine.
No problems found.

Was it installed on a different machine or on the same machine as BoincTasks? Was it an upgrade or a fresh install? I installed 7.16.5 on a different PC and it was an upgrade.

I upgraded the 7.14 PC again and it still won't connect. Here are the log results.

BOINC01 is the PC that I upgraded. Dons-Surface is were BoincTasks is running.

BOINC01 is an Intel(R) Celeron(R) J4105 CPU @ 1.50GHz running Windows 10 and is up to date with all updates. Dons-Surface is an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4650U CPU @ 1.70GHz running on Windows 10 and is up to date with all updates. I tried disabling the firewall on BOINC01 (Windows Firewall) and on Dons_Surface (Viper) and was still unable to connect.

Both running Windows 10. BOINC01 was added before the upgrade as was working fine for months. After upgrade it stopped working.

I performed  https://efmer.com/boinctasks-add-computers/ and all was green on both sides. I did a find computers from BoincTasks and it found BOINC01 when the toolbox was running on BOINC01. It did not find it when the toolbox was not running.

Yes but the MAC address isn't the same as a fixed IP.
The MAC address is a factory assigned number.
If the IP changes, BOINC may refuse the connection if that IP isn't in the approved list. Unless you allowed all IP addresses to connect to the BOINC client.

You might want to check the the log of the remote BOINC machine to see if the connection was refused.

No connection messages is the remote machine log. I also have  <allow_remote_gui_rpc>1</allow_remote_gui_rpc> set in the options section of the cc_config.xml file so connections should be accepted from any device.

Did you remove the 32 bit version of the BOINC client before installing the 64 bit version?

No I did not do an uninstall of the 32 bit version before installing the 64 bit version. The installer should have done that. That is why I asked you previously if your install was new or an upgrade. I can try an uninstall.
