QuoteFile - Stop BOINC client (local host) - splash windows with untranslated strings: "Quit the BOINC client and stop all science projects?"

still untranslated.

in Task graphics of BT, the 3rd check box text is four squares (looks like that is not permitted text)

Some of the client text are not translatable yet, as it's still a bit in the undecided territory.

From version 1.09 up to 1.14, I get some funny displays of "Application" names in the "Tasks" tab. For instance, yoyo@home Muon tasks...

The properties on the individual applications says the name is "Muon 445.01". However, when I double click and group the tasks together, it says "117.33 Muon". It also says "117.33 Muon" if the task is "Waiting to run".

Just thought you ought to know... haven't found any other problems yet ... but I just started trying it out.

Funny, but I can reproduce it,. It's fixed for V 1.15. The problem was the large version number 44501, got too close to the limit....
If you find something else, let me know.

Hi
ist there something wrong with the rules or with my rules ?
Only the first two rules are working. If i disable the first two the next two are working.

It's the german translated rules log but i think it doesn't matter.

The wall clock rule must be applied on a single computer and a single project. I think I see more than one computer on the rule. So did you add a computer name?

Can you E-mail the rules? C:\Users\fred\AppData\Roaming\eFMer\BoincTasks -> rules.xml
email address at the bottom of http://www.efmer.eu/boinc/boinc_tasks/manual.html
I will take a look at what is wrong with BT or with the rule.

Sorry i have no "fred" folder.  :-)

You got a mail.

another thing.........

Tab Projects
If i mark a line the background colour of that line changes to blue and the font color to white.
Ok till now.
The colour of the column Tasks does not change if there are 0 tasks, but the font color still changes to white.
The pre defined colour of the warning / task count  is light yellow.
The result is - background colour light yellow and font colour white, that's not easy to read.

It's not a big thing but a small piece to make BoincTasks perfect.

hmm sorry  another thing.........
The warning / task count is not working right with GPU tasks and with non CPU intensive tasks. The colour "Tab Projects / column Tasks" changes to the warning colour even if there are tasks aviable.

What i notice is that the rules are not active, but in the post they are, so I presume you disabled them.
I will do some testing.

1) All colors are user definable, including selection and selection background, but I will adjust the default.
2) non CPU intensive tasks aren't included in the count. Why, they are not really there, their use of the CPU should be neglectable.
Some projects are not well written and don't know what non intensive is.
The only thing you can do is set the warning to specific projects, you have 4 to choose from.

I tested it and V 1.14 only allows on active time rule.
I removed that limit in V 1.15.
But what's probably wrong also is the exact project name. It should be the one like Einstein@Home. It's completely case sensitive and should match exactly. so einstein@home and Einstein will all fail.
In V 1.15 when the project isn't matching, I added an error with the found project list, so you can see what's wrong.

I tested this and the default warning color is light red on all my test computers.

with regedit look here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\eFMer\BoincTasks\color every item is an override warning_tasks is the task count override.

Hi Fred

Thanks for the great effort.
Colors are ok for me, those were only a few small points that i noticed.

Sorry, thought I had not changed the default, so i changed it back from nice yello to hmm. light red.

OK, seems i have to live with. (at the moment i have about 20 active projects + 15 with no work.)

According to the Task master BT is using 95 to 98% of the CPU.  It is also reloading the preferences every few minutes.  Have any ideas?  I have to close and open BT to get it cleared.

What can I gather to help solve this problem?  I am running XP3 with all  t he latest fixes.

It is monitoring a local home network of seven computers, approximately 11 tasks are running, and 37 tasks are either waiting to run or start.

What is in the BT log : C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\eFMer\BoincTasks ->log at the same time.
Anything in the /crash folder.

Did you set anything in Computers the column Days Work and Wanted tasks.

What Boinc version are you using?
