BT 1.1.8 History update takes very long

I have set up the history update time to min 4 max 10 seconds but it is taking 2-4 minutes to update the history.If set up to report results immediately many a times it show the status in history as Missed. where as in messages it shows as reporting request completed .

BoincTasks Settings -> History "Maximum update time", set it to 4.
The history should now refresh every 4 seconds.
You can just as well remove the check at "Smart mode", this will set the history to a always read mode.

If your tasks / computer is less than 100 it should not cause too much overhead.
