Fixed: A handle leak, when a child process was detected.
Fixed: Temperature graph, move the color markings a couple of pixels to the left.

Beyond

Not sure if this has been reported, starting with 5.40 and still in 5.41.

On AMD quad with 2 GPUs temp window with 5.3 and earlier showed:

41.0C - G: 55.5C - 57.2C

with 5.4x it shows:

41.0C -55.5C -57.2C55.5C | G: 55.5C  -57.2C

with the new versions the 2nd, 3rd & 4th values are repeats of the GPU temps.

Can you give me the TThrottle startup log? (Log tab directly after startup)

Also just installed 5.41 on an x6 with 5 cores doing BOINC and 1 core doing DPAD.  It went through the processor check and now lists 5 temps for the CPU (3 of them are really GPU temps), and after the "separator" 2 correct temps for the 2 GPUs.  Here's that log:

OK, I see there is something wrong with the temp windown :o

Beyond

With 5.41 the temp readout still disappears from BT on the local machine only.  The remote machines aren't affected.  This is the same behavior as earlier versions.

As of 5.4x you need BoincTasks V 1.25 or up. BT V 1.25 can still read the "older" TThrottle versions.

I've been using 1.25 since it's release.

With disappear, you mean not show at all or show once in a while.

Another reason could be, that you set up Password for TThrottle.
In the computers tab, do you see the TThrottle version?

Once in a while.  No password and yes to seeing the version when the temp shows.  It's the same problem as reported starting here:

http://www.efmer.eu/forum_tt/index.php?topic=803.msg4604#msg4604

It does seem to be less frequent but the problem never totally went away.  Only on the local machine, no matter which machine is local  :)

Do I understand it correctly, that occasionally just any localhost's tasks show no value in Tasks' Temperature column, and a bit later it's again there?

I think that whenever BT's Temp graph window is opened, it completely reads all data from TTh, am I right?
If the window would be constantly kept open, would any missing intervals of temp values be read later, or the last known value would be drawn again and again? (I naively do not believe that any gap would appear in the graph, or two nearest known values a couple of seconds apart would be connected with a solid line.)

Can you set up a password on TThrottle and BT.
The reason for this try, if the message package is somehow garbled up, the encryption insures the integrity of the whole package.
This should at least stop any gaps in the temp graph.

Almost looks like a firewall or virus scanner problem. Try excluding the BoincTasks exe from the virus scanner and firewall.
Or switch of the firewall and virus scanner to see if the problems are still there.

As stated in the message below there are no gaps in the temp graph for either TT or BT:

http://www.efmer.eu/forum_tt/index.php?topic=803.msg4608#msg4608

All remote machines show the TT temp in BT consistently.  Only the TT temp for the local machine phases in and out now and then.  Restarting TT fixes it for a while.  No matter what machine is running BT this behavior happens between the local TT and BT.  All remote machines always display the TT temp in BT.

I changed both firewall and AV scanner a couple weeks ago, no difference.  It's not that huge a deal because I can always see the local machine temp directly from TT anyway.  Just thought I'd report the odd behavior.  It does happen less frequently than in 1.17 but it still happens.

Much better in 5.42.  I like the separator between CPU and GPU also.  One odd thing though.  Of my 6 Phenom x6 machines, 4 show:

This Processor has 6 cores and  1 temperature sensors.

The other 2 show:

This Processor has 6 cores and  2 temperature sensors.

The latter 2 also show 2 identical CPU values on the desktop temperature window.  I think these 2 did a recalibration after restarting.
