Hi Fred,

Yep, all good when I adjust the Tjmax temp to 85 degC in TThrottle.  Thanks!

Questions / Temps out by 15 degC on Xeon 3060 CPU
August 25, 2011, 03:20:56 AM
Hi,
Just wondering why I'm getting two different CPU temps on my file server.  Core Temp 1.0 (RC) reports 45 degC at full load, while TThrottle 4.20 reports 60 degC.  Is it anything to do with the different Tjmax settings?

CPU is a Xeon 3060 running at 2.4GHz and OS is Windows XP Pro 32-bit.

Regards,
Jave.

:-[ Forgot to update the download page. Fixed.
The update function works.
You may need to refresh the download page, normally with F5.

I have downloaded v3.41 from the main download link.  Thanks!  :)

I'd love to try out v3.41 except I can't seem to find it on the site?  All I get is the message "At this moment there is no beta version. " when I click on the "Download beta version" link on the Download page...  ???

Wish List / Choice of core for TThrottle temp input
March 21, 2011, 08:35:42 AM
Hi,

On my i7-870, core 2 reads slightly higher in temperature than the other 3 cores (about 3 degrees C).  By default, TThrottle chooses this temperature as it's input for the throttling algorithm. (Well, I'm guessing it does!)

Would it be possible to have TThrottle to be able to select another core to use as it's temperature input, rather than the one core that reads the highest temp?  It's only a suggestion, as I guess one can always simply adjust the setpoint higher to accommodate for the higher reading.  :D

Questions / How to install?
November 02, 2009, 09:13:49 AM
How is one meant to install BoincTasks?  All I did after installing Boinc 6.10.17 was to disable "boincmgr" and "boinctray" from my startup list using CCleaner, and then start BoincTasks, log into my project (WC Grid) and then select BoincTasks to start at bootup/login and to also start the Boinc Client at bootup/login.  Is this correct???  Am I missing something somewhere???

Wish List / Stopping tasks
November 02, 2009, 09:02:59 AM
- Rebooting the BOINC client and/or stopping the projects.

This would be nice.  At the moment I'm suspending tasks in case I need to use the CPU for something else.  :)  When I'm done, I resume the tasks.  No big deal I suppose.
