1st:
Task -> Status: It doesn't show waiting for memory but instead it will show waiting to run.

2nd:
History: If you change the computer name, it will create a new file (by design as stated in the FAQ), thus losing your history. Can it be made that the history stayed intact after rename?
1 Added to the list.
2 I will change this as on the todo list, but it's a bit complicated and I will wait, until I rewrite the computer part as a tab.
1) Can you give me a description of your settings in that case, as I don't use this feature.
And what is the BOINC manager reporting and where.
2) V 0.51 fixed and it was indeed rather complicated to implement.
1)Waiting for memory -> would show in BOINC Manager if you don't have enough memory to run the science application.
I have 6GB of ram but its not enough to run 8 apps of WCG DDDT2 whc runs about 512MB physical and 600+MB virtual (my prefs is use 100%).
To replicate this, you must run lots of apps (non-BOINC) that you will have less physical ram available or set your prefs to use like 10% ram.
Here's the description of "waiting for memory"

Another issue which has been on and off with other versions is Projects tab item selection. Shift+click doesn't work. To select consecutive items, I have to use ctrl+click.
Should work, select the first item, press shift and select the last.
Yup it works but only a few hours from the time you start the application which is odd.
Started: 15 April 2010 - 23:33:58
Now: 16 April 2010 - 15:32:56

After sometime it loses that ability. Might be a bug?

Hi Fred,

I don't know where the weird problem is?? in BOINC or BoincTasks??

BOINC client last official 6.10.43 (both x86 & x64) , in the row:

"While processor usage is less than [ X ] percent (0 means no restriction)"

OK, I set it to always "0", if something is done in BOINC or BoincTasks I don't
know why is found to the default value "25" and found that BOINC is throttling
my computers, when I donĀ“t want that this would be done by BOINC, because
most of the time the applications are stopped because of high usage of CPU/GPU,
reported by BOINC manager.
>:(
I know that this feature is not yet implemented if BT, but from BOINC manager is
a weird fix really.
The problem lies with BT. If you set 0 in BOINC manager then later on update it with BT, things get screwed up. BT removes the line "<suspend_cpu_usage>0.000000</suspend_cpu_usage>".

In Fred's Task list: "BOINC Settings: Try to write back only changed items" should remove any future issues if BOINC manager has new item while BT hasn't been updated yet with that item.

Switching from "all computers" to specific computer is fast now; You would only notice the improvement if you have clients connected through Internet(WAN). Tested it on peak hours and off-peak. Good Job!

In notification icon tooltip, what is the max length? I have a computer named with 11 chars and it shows the number of task running but with 13 chars it doesn't show but instead truncate it to 12 (and doesn't show "running: NN")
eg.
normal view:
computer12345, Running: 12
to:
computer1234

This is just some fancy item, nothing major. I think it would be best if you drop the whole line off cause the info given is not useful anyways. Or something new like this:
Total Running: NN
Non-Running: pc1=2, pc2=1, pc3=5

Non-running is the number of cores/threads that go idle for each computer.

I found this version the best fit to my setup (4 lan, 4 wan). Prior versions always give me a hard time - killing BT when stuck at "switching, busy". Now I can switch views in fast succession without a hitch.

No, I mean this one
It would be nice to be scalable; the same as you did on the computer sidebar

Typo in the grid headers:
Computer:  |2 Computers
Task: |3 Project
Transfers: |2 Project
History: |2 Project

Can you make the "Selection bar" scalable?

Tasks percentage is quite off. BT says 2.626% while BM says 0%

You can add an alternative existing folder in the extra->BoincTasks settings -> expert and check "override default (xml) folder"
This setting Must not contain space; If path has space, then it needs to be in 8.3 format. eg. Program files -> Progra~1

It doesn't work for me if it has space(s).

I know that you don't support unreleased BOINC versions but it was in 6.10.36 that has been removed (from prod) and I don't see the feature being remove in future versions.

Its under -> While processor usage is less than blank percent. (0 means no restriction)

Or if its not added, BoincTasks should not re-write everything on global_prefs_override.xml but rather read its elements and values then what ever is changed on the BoincTasks GUI will be applied then write the file. Thus, it will not removed any elements that are currently not present with BoincTasks.

Can we have <suspend_cpu_usage> added?
