Questions / About Driver
June 22, 2009, 02:38:40 PM
I've seen than the driver is installed on windows\system32\drivers (x86 & x64 versions)

does it means that the driver is 32bits (for both versions)??

please correct me if I'm wrong, and now I can not remember how could I saw it.

Wish List / Status Work Bar
June 22, 2009, 02:34:38 PM
Hi Fred,
Quote
New: A progress bar, in the first tab, now indicates the percentage of work done on the computer.

please, explain a little.

is it the CPU fraction running for BOINC??

it really gives you a good visual idea of the running processes,
could be added another one parallel to itself for the % of GPU running for BOINC??

That's the one I downloaded. But there was another GPU Card in the system from NVidia, I don't know if that works.

I've seen a lot of problems in my machines and another machines with
the graphic card if it's exchanged from ATI to NVidia or viceversa (most
of the times when exchanging from NVidia to ATI, that the NVidia left a
lot of shit in the O.S.) and the previous drivers are not completely
removed from the system before setup the new GPU.

something very strange when sometimes there is no problem for exchanging
the whole MOBO, memory and Processor in a PC and the computer starts
normally or only with an initial crash but recovered in the 2nd boot and solved
with the install of the new MOBO drivers, look like that the graphic cards are
more suspicious.

Good Luck, Carmelo.  :D

New ATI Catalist driver for XP, Vista and 7 (x86 & x64) has recently released around 17, 18 June.
and as you say driver x86 for os x86 and driver x64 for os x64, otherwise blue screens, crashes, etc.

Beta Testing / Re: Testing V 1.61x
June 20, 2009, 05:24:54 PM
as far as I see this last version is working fine and everything looks like well translated.

sigh  :'( as usual I have done on the wrong way, uninstalled the RC1 and seen that everything was the same, I carefully installed in the laptop and see the differences in my all x64 version computers I have installed again the RC1 instead the RC2, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I´ll fix it right now.

as I told you the version x86 is working fine in the laptop.

nice beers (& wine) for everybody in this weekend (and upcoming too), Carmelo.  ;D ;D ;D ;)

the option of language in the Preferences tab is really good idea,
and much better that every language appears in its own name.
but there is not a "Apply" button for inmediate exchange of the
program language (could be nice instead of restarting the program)
Yes but impossible to do and you don't change that very often I hope.

by the way, could be usefull a tag after the scroll windows something
like "needs restart the program" or "will take effects in the next run".
or
a button of "restart program" too.  ???  ;)

not too often in the stable version (of course it use to be in my mother tongue),
but in this last RC, yes, on the way to know what is the real "english" term that
could give a fix, reference, etc. sometimes as there is no proper direct Spanish
translation I have to refer to the English name, some of the terms I remember,
but other I have to come back to the English version.  :D

Hi all,

name exchange for CUDA Tab, I agree and think it's much better.

the option of language in the Preferences tab is really good idea,
and much better that every language appears in its own name.
but there is not a "Apply" button for inmediate exchange of the
program language (could be nice instead of restarting the program)

at the moment all the alarms in the "Rules" Tab works really well.

the only thing I've seen in previous version 1.6.1.3 is when started
from a shortcut that has blank the "start from:" is that the
Tthrottle.xml is not read. and checked in this version too.

see the log, run as startup and with a shortcut, no .xml read:
18 June 2009 - 23:53:45 Driver installed properly. Driver Version: 1.9

Program version: 1.62 32Bit
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600)

Language: User: 1033 ENU ,System: 1033 ENU [/L: 1033]
Language: User: 3082 ESN ,System: 1034 ESP

run it from the own program folder, and TThrotle.xml read:
Encontrado TThrottle.xml.
<ICON><tthrottle>

18 June 2009 - 23:57:55 Controlador instalado correctamente.
Versión Controlador: 1.9

Versión del Programa: 1.62 32Bit

Hi Fred,

as far as I see it looks like that everything is working fine.

for the CUDA I can not say anything as I've no NVIDIA wich supports
CUDA computing as my two NVIDIA cards are little "old" 2 years and
not support CUDA processing.

I have just arrive and found in the laptop (x86) the infamous window with
".... TThrottle must close because ....." and the subsequent reporting to
Microsoft but I've seen that Tthrottle has not been closed (UFFF!!!) my
laptop could burn.

Ready for translation  ;D

Cheers, Corsair.

Wish List / Unified Installer
June 17, 2009, 07:56:59 AM
Hi all,

why not a unified installer containing the two versions x86 and x64???

depending of the detected OS that the own installer setup the correct
version of program? ???

e.g. if x86 OS found install the x86 version, if x64 OS found install the
x64 version.

this thing I've seen in another programs that there is only one installer
with the differents versions and it install the one that fits with your
system (and always the higher possible).

Cheers / Carmelo.

select rule 1.
It moves up but the last rule in the list disappears.
The selected rule stays down below.

yeah, that was the strange thing that I've seen in this release, I didn't know how
to explain it because because I didn't know what happened, when you say remove,
the one that I've pointed was still in the list and another rule dissapeared.

but looks quite cool and really works very well, so well that I was, as we say in Spanish,
"with the fly around the ear" because of the temperature in Phenom that was running at
100% at 64 dec Celsius, so I decided to dismantle the case and clean everything (Tons &
Tons of Shi... dust  :'() my surprise was when switched on again the computer and working
at full load the CPU temperature was 15 deg. Celsius lower, now is working at 48, 49 deg.  ;D

Cheers all, Carmelo.
