Beta Testing / BT 1.43

Quote from: fredAdd: Messages: 3 user definable texts, that show a highlighted color.  (V 1.43 )
Works nicely. Sort of "*core of the text to be highlighted*".
Could the text be searched in a case-insensitive way (if it is not intentionally case-sensitive)?

- Add: Threat as in use when specific programs are running. Makes it possible to throttle differently when a program is running.

  • Have you meant something like "Threat as 'in use' when..."? Someone might get scared ;)
  • Temperature tab: the bottom-most core is numbered "16" (instead of (I assume the intended) "15"). In the graphs there is the correct "15".

OK, then you can possibly strip the path from all language versions?
Hmm, but I don't find the text in any language version.
True! They appear in 1.31 files, but not anymore in 1.41 - Why did I actually ask? :-X

<ExpertOverrideWarning> slightly differs between ENU and SKY: while the Slovak version contains a newline ("...na OK!\nXP: C:\\Documents..."), the English does not ("...on OK! XP: C:\\Documents...").
Which one is more correct? ;D
You no longer need to add the path in the text to the warning.
It is already added to this text <ExpertOverride> by BoincTasks.
OK, then you can possibly strip the path from all language versions?

The Slovak BT 1.41 language file is in the upload area.

Beta Testing / BT 1.39

I've noticed that my "BT Data Transfer graph" displays the same fixed amount for each day's upload (1.8 MB) or download (2.6 MB) in the tooltips, although the graphs wildly vary up to 240 MB. Timeline spans one year.

Although my translations of both <ProjectRank> + <RowProjectRank> are equally "Poradie v projekte" and both <ProjectTeamRank> + <RowTeamRank> are equally "Poradie v tíme", just the Settings dialog displays it correctly - the Projects tab's columns headers are missing the middle " v " - they display just "Poradie projekte" and "Poradie tíme". Any idea why?
Found the problem. v and ^ are used for sorting. Any isolated v will be removed. :o
So try to find another translation that doesn't use v in the header.
:o  :-X we do not have any other suitable preposition for instrumental locative case in the language ???

Well, please replace (just) the column headers with "Poradie - projekt" and "Poradie - tím" - hope the dash/hyphen is not being used for e.g. underlining ;)

The Slovak BT 1.31 language file is in the upload area.

BTW, although just 9 lines changed during the ENU 1.28 --> 1.31 transition, I've got to check and modify 62 lines for the equivalent SKY transition. You should check the quality of work of your internal translation files' processing team ;) but a LOT of already translated lines (in the BoincTasks_SKY.btlang file, installed with the 1.31 release) got reverted to some past state - often whole blocks of lines. :-X ???
...
(Maybe the best match was the BoincTasks_SKY.btlang file, delivered with the 1.28 release. Is it possible, that you've unintentionally skipped my translated Slovak BT 1.28 language file?)

I have validation problems. There are other columns with more than 2 words in their header, which do display correctly.

Beta Testing / Re: Testing Version 5.50

TTh 5.50 crashed 2 days ago, after 2 days running since boot - Win7 x64 was asking for permission to report it.
No idea what went wrong, I've not seen TTh since its start.

Various BOINC-related tools (including BOINC Manager and BT's Task properties window) correctly show my (obviously incorrect and buggy) ibercivis sanidad_21-.... task being at 447.946% progress, later 460.945%, etc. but BT's Tasks tab displays it limited to 100.000% (BTW the task checkpoints correctly.)

I remember it has been displaying the true progress % in the past (and I've possibly reported this already). Could it be relaxed again?

Add this to the config.xml file: (should be here: C:\Program Files\eFMer\BoincTasks\examples)
<config>  <options>  <no_cleanup>  1  </no_cleanup>  </options>  </config>
...and I should have copied it from ...\BoincTasks\examples\ into ...\BoincTasks\  ;)

Works perfectly now (604.9275% - I can finally abort the example task), thanks.
What other workarounds and cleanups are influenced by this option? (OK, I've found the 'options block' description, in the config file. Will see...)

You can run as many BoincTasks on your network as you wish, they should not collide - I'm occasionally running three, often different version, when the updates come frequently...

As for the uninstall... I've actually no recommendations, not tried yet :-[ Uninstall, as you assumed? ;)

There is no point in artificially limiting it to "usual" 100.0% - the tasks' troubleshooting thus gets impossible. (The green progress bar should off course stay limited to 100%, except it would be user-configurable - it is an ugly, but perfect indication of a progress bug ;D)

TTh 5.50 crashed 25 minutes ago, after 4 days 5 hours run - Win7 x64 is asking for permission to report it.
No idea what went wrong, I've locked the session some 3-4 minutes prior to the crash.
I'll upload a minidump in a moment. Uploaded as TTh-5.50-WER-20120214.rar (can be deleted afterwards).
